The Southern (Newington)

• The pub is full of dark surfaces but is warmly lit and has a cosy feel
• S main offerings are burger based
• I went for the Southern burger with the brioche bun and non seasoned fries
• The Southern burger is a 6oz beef burger with red onion
• There were skewers in all of the burgers with a massive bit of pickled cucumber on top
• T even a gherkin and was way too massive for decoration
• My burger oozed with the rather delicious mustard mayo
• That can often be the case with large beef tomatoes
• The whole thing was a slightly messy affair in the process of eating but it was worth it
• The Southern (Newington) is so nicely tucked along newington
• I used to came here for a pint with my friends and I loved the place
• Breakfast was really good and the staff nice but I waited 30 minutes for 2 breakfast and the pub was almost empty
• I ordered a Chilli Burger with sweet potato fries
• The burger was really good and really spicy
• It was the first of the six eateries we were planning to visit so we only ordered one burger
• She said it was okay and she'll change the entire plate but we were brought only the burger without the Chipotle sauce
• The second server asked the first one if she should get us fries she said it was okay not to
• It wasn't the fact that we accidentally ate beef (it's against our religion to eat beef) but the staff's attitude that was infuriating
• Dropped in with some friends
• Mostly burgers with a few other bits and pieces
