White Swan (Woodford)

• A 50 pound bill for 3 people with appetizers
• The starters of ribs and dim sum were juicy and flavoursome as expected
• The waiting staff were great including asking if we required a break after the starters
• I have never been asked this before as restaurants are usually eager to cycle the table as quickly as possible
• We did not notice any lapse in service and were even offered an apology for waiting
• So I wonder what the service is like on a quiet day
• I've just called and reminded them and they told me there's 'no note in their book' saying anything was missing and they wouldn't honour the missed item
• After arguing with the woman for about 5 mins it was quite clear I was getting nowhere
• I don't know what was more insulting
• That they insinuated that I was lying about a prawn toast or that the staff there really don't give a toss about retaining their loyal customer base
• I doubt it will be open much longer if this is the way they treat people
