The Waiting Room (Whetstone)

• I have only left a one star rating for The Waiting Room as there is no option to leave 0 stars
• The atmosphere was extremely negative
• The cream tea was not good value for money and the manageress was rude
• I really didn't think that one coffee instead of unlimited tea was too much to ask for but apparently it was
• The manageress then came over being extremely rude and the first words that came out of her mouth were 'I am very busy and do not have time so I can only give you one minute'
• I calmly explained to her that I only wanted the one coffee and had also checked this would be possible at the time of buying the gift voucher and was told it shouldn't be a problem
• She continued to be extremely rude and insisted that if I did not pay extra for the coffee I couldn't have it even though it had already been made at this point and was on the table
• I continued to stay calm and again tried to explain that I was only asking for one coffee instead of unlimited tea
• She completely disregarded what I had to say and replied 'I have already told you the last time was a one off and if you do not pay extra for it
• She then proceeded to walk back to the kitchen with the coffee
• I would definitely consider going to one of the many other tea rooms in the area unless you just want a small snack in a tea room with an unfriendly atmosphere and a rude
• Disrespectful manageress who is just interested in taking your money
