  • Perfect for catching up with friends over a slice if nice pizza and a beer

  • I came here at 1am after going to a party at Dance Tunnel with my boyfriend (a venue directly underneath Voodoo)

  • I had never been here before and was so glad to see a pizza place directly above the club we were at

  • The slices were pretty large and very satisfying

  • Less endearing than the pizzas are those who manufacture them

  • Consistently top quality pizza with friendly staff go to Franco Manca not too far away

  • These pizzas are your authentic New York pizzas

  • You best bet is to go there before or after catching a film at the Rio just down the road as they do a nice little deal where you can get money off a slice

  • I previously reviewed Pizza East another great pizza place however this is the polar opposite to that restaurant

  • The pizzas are thick with cheese

  • The music great the place is a buzz with all sorts of different people doing all sorts of different things

  • A stone's throw away from Dalston Kingsland and directly on the High Street Voodoo Ray's (Dalston) is hard to miss

  • The previous resident of Dalston was jetting off for a couple of months and this was the opportunity for goodbyes

  • The drinks were on the steep side but were suitably strong and as the eve wore on pizza seemed like a increasingly wise choice

  • I would recommend Voodoo Ray's (Dalston) for a evening chill with friends or as a stop in on the way home from a night out

  • The main difference between Italian and American pizza is found in the crust with an Italian pizza having a thin crust made of flour

  • Beyond this is the more obvious fact that Italian pizzas usually only have a limited number of toppings while American pizzas are a bit more well

  • It's neither because there is the wild card the iconic New York slice

  • A New York slice is not just an American pizza it is quite simply

  • New York style pizza is characterized by large hand tossed thin crust pies

  • It has crust which is crisp along its edge yet soft and pliable enough beneath its toppings to be folded in half to eat

  • The Dalston area is home to some of my absolute favourite restaurants (Umut 2000

  • Ve always leaned towards New York style pizzas with their thinner but larger slices

  • These things are huge&hellip

  • Mozzarella and tomato sauce was properly good

  • Granted they were out of Hot Mix 5 slices when we first got there so they had to make a fresh lot (which

  • Obviously would taste better than a pizza that had been sitting out) but the The Meat Is On slices (that were already cooked) didn&rsquo

  • My friends were less than impressed with their toppings

  • Taste wise they were happy as Larry but when you&rsquo

  • S not to say that there was no meat on the slices but less than what the name suggests

  • The mac and cheese was nice (using good quality cheese is never a bad thing) and had lots of flavour but not up to the same standard as the pizza

  • S had to be something very special if it was going to pry me away from visiting Umut 2000

  • Pizza by the slice is a New York City tradition

  • The toppings are extensive and I usually have them put combinations on a plain slice as i prefer my slices extra crunchy

  • Chilled out ambiance with stripped back but interesting decor

  • Voodoo Ray slices are pretty darn big

  • For a post night out snack this was just what I needed

  • I also got a beer with it that I liked the packaging of but that was not particularly impressive

  • In general I did like the food and the atmosphere and it is a great place to go after you've had a few drinks on a night out

  • Not sure if I would cross the city to get there just for it but if I happen in the are and crave some pizza I'd be happy to visit again

  • Voodoo Rays is a Amercian pizza joint in Dalston and in Boxpark

  • The best bit is the fact it is open until 3am on Friday and Saturday nights if you fancy some late dinner after a dance

  • I visited around 11pm and it was busy and playing some great tunes &ndash

  • Went back the night after as I was so impressed with the thin crusted

  • The pulled pork was also pretty mouth watering

  • Sparse but flavoursome toppings staying true to the traditional Italian style of pizza with the bases being the real winner

  • Don't despair though as there are plenty of other delicious options

  • S (but is entered from a separate door) and is hardly a minute&rsquo

  • Had to go in to ask if they had gluten free dough as we were really going for pizza but they haven't got it written on the menu

  • As our order was gluten free it had to be an entire pizza

  • We ordered a Giorgio Moroder (which is a vegetarian but really delicious) and absolutely loved the crunch on their dough and just the right amount of salt
