Vietnam Oriental (Greenwich)

• While the name is perplexingly misleading the food at Vietnam Oriental is authentic and well made
• In fact those expecting a Vietnamese diner may be slightly disappointed as there are very few dishes on the menu representative of that country
• The fact that a lot of the customers when we were there were discerningly Chinese themselves was not lost on us
• The restaurant itself is tucked away just down by the National Maritime Museum gardens in Greenwich
• Vietnam Oriental is found hidden from the high street round the corner from Jaimes
• As the soups are very cheap ranging from 2 4 pounds but the main dishes are a little more expensive than it's rivals Noodle time and Tai wan mein
• The interior design was nice if a little underwhelming but the staff was very polite and the food was amazing
• The day I visited Greenwich was seriously cold
• I thought the Pork Bao was okay in comparison to my favorite Chicken Dimsums or prawn dimsums
• I thought the Bao was tastier than that
• The service was good with friendly staff
