The Urban Chocolatier (Whitechapel)

• The Urban Chocolatier (Whitechapel) is absolutely amazing
• Somethings on the menu are very pricey but they are some of the special dishes
• The majority of things are very reasonable in comparison to the portion sizes
• This is by far the best dessert lounge in town
• They dont charge service charge either and are like the only place in whitechapel that actually accept card payments
• The Urban Chocolatier was absolutely amazing
• There service was great and their waffles are to die for I recommend Cookie Monster along
• Their decor was also outstanding I was very pleased
• I also loved that the drinks with many flavors were served in a science beaker as if it was an experiment
• The chocolate souffle is like no other and their chocolates are delicious
• Staff are very upbeat and chatty with customers and are always happy to help
• I spent an evening here with my friends
• The Urban Chocolatier is a great stop for anyone wanting to treat them self to a calorific dessert and cheap coffee
• The prices are extremely good and there is a wide variety desserts for those with a bit of a sweet tooth
• The interior is smart but laid back and the staff very welcoming
• The waffles were just amaaaaazing
• When we went in we were asked how many of us and we said 10
• Cannot understand why they were unable to do this
• All I can say is that we were all very disappointed in their attitude and the fact that there were booths where there were only 2 people seated (such a waste of space) was very frustrating aswell
• I would much rather go somewhere where the establishment does it's best to accommodate you and your group
• Standard sundaes topped with varieties of sweet goodies
• The one thing that stood out on the menu was the cookie dough
• A warm soft cookie topped with a mug filled with soft serve vanilla ice cream and warm milk chocolate drizzled ontop (which hardens instantly when touching the cold ice cream)
• The cookie dough melts in your mouth and the gooey mess is a chocoholics dream
• I'm not a fan of cake much to review properly and the drinks are refreshing from the few I've tried
• Cookie dough and ice cream was absolutely divine and looked stunning
• My sister and I visited The Urban Chocolatier's Green Street branch and I was very disappointed with the service
• Once seated (on a dirty table) we were given the menus and left approximately for 10 minutes before someone approached us to take our order
• I also asked for some tap water which I was instantly refused
• I was spoken to in a very rude manner by the staff member to told me to 'Google it' as they didn't serve alcohol they were not obliged to provide tap water
• I didn't have an issue with paying for the water which I ended up buying anyway
• The dessert itself was pleasant and I did enjoy the waffle
• The waffles are freshly made
• The food here is nice but I think you have to be careful with what you order because this is what I ordered and I could not finish it
• Everything is halal friendly and The Urban Chocolatier (Whitechapel) doesn't serve alcohol
• They have the best desserts in London in my opinion
• Apart from this it is great and the customer service are very kind and polite
• Apprantely because they don't serve alcohol or 'food' they are not obliged to provide tap water
• Hot chocolate is by far the best ive ever had
• Some of the prices are not worth the quality of the dessert
• Can often be just covered with lots and lots of chocolate sauce making it unbearable to eat
• I came out with my family to the green st branch last yr
• They were out of a lot of things so i asked why they are still open
• She laughed and said she agrees with me and she doesnt know why
• I know the mile end owner very well and he is always prepared and professional
• The green st manager however is an utter disgrace
• It wasn't the best experience
• The waiters looked fed up the one who seated us looked mortified when we said we were all together
• Our deserts came promptly and they were quite nice
• The freakshakes were quite plain for nearly 8 quid I would want a bit more I guess
• One dessert was simply raw cake mix when we complained they refused to replace or take off the bill we had to insist they gave in after a lot of drama
• Only bad thing is we had to wait 15 mins for a table
• Serving sizes are really generous too
• As they are one of the best i have tasted
