Sripur (City of London)

• Not a single Indian restaurant is run by a person who's ever been to India (the family behind the Taj Mahal are from Karachi
• The familiarity and interchangeability of the experience is partly what guarantees its enduring popularity
• Feeling very full with tasty meat and fat
• The mid market City curry house is alive and well
• The mixed grill was precisely what you want at that price point in those circumstances
• The sag and channa were both tasty accompaniments
• Kingfisher is Kingfisher a sine qua non of a good (British) curry experience
• As for Sripur as a place service is friendly enough
• A smattering of slightly past their best grey behind the ears chaps with loosened ties and the prospect of a £
• Have to say that it was a very satisfactory meal
• The chicken had that 'Indian chinese' kick to it and the chapathis were soft and well made
• Wish we had the time to try dessert as well but were short of time
• We walked in for a dinner and walked out immediately after a rude altercation with one of the waiters
• They behave like they are giving free food for us
• 1) Dal tadka was plain half boiled lentils without any spiy seasoning which is the way it needs to be prepared(tadka means seasoning)
• This how it is normally made
• This hotel was such a horrific experience
• The Service was Too Slow Waited Nearly 45 minutes for Food
• Restaurant was almost empty and I sat on table which was for 3 people
• A bit more expensive but probably average in this location which is ~200m from the Tower Bridge
• The ambience was reasonable but food and service both were below average
• The mango lassi was the worst I have ever had
