As it is also known locally is a relaxed and warm Chinese restaurant occupying an old eel and mash shop in the heart of Dalston
Back behind the front of the shop is a larger room
The food is excellently cooked with regular dishes like bok choi and sea spiced aubergine a stand out
Bon bon chicken and double cooked pork belly are all worth trying
I love the charm of the original pie and mash shop decor and the food is always of a consistently high quality
The front of the restaurant is a semi converted pie and mash shop and has a distinctly English feel
Most of the seating is in the back however
Decoration is mild but pleasant
