Sarracino (West Hampstead)

• The painful thing about Sarracino is that it looked the part
• The meal started with a complimentary basket of bread
• The overwhelming feeling was that my calzone was little more than ricotta wrapped in dough
• People working in restaurants are working bloody hard
• Perhaps it was sympathy pains
• Situated in a side street in West Hampstead this is a true Italian restaurant in every way
• Sarracino is lined with wooden tables draped with white table cloths and adorned with a candle
• The traditional pizzas are larger than the plate they are served on and full of taste with a range of toppings to choose from and the pasta also have as variety of options
• The menu is quite meat heavy with only a few options for vegetarians
• These options are definitely up to scratch
• 9 depending on the topping and the main courses are about £
• The restaurant interior is very warm and cosy
• On weekdays the restaurant is very quiet but can get quite busy in the weekend
• The communication amongst them as well as with their customers was very poor
• It felt like everything was a bother to them
• I had heard good things about the food so I still had hopes for the restaurant because maybe they were just having a bad day
• West End Lane is full of cute little restaurants
• The pasta I've had is also excellent
• So probably best booking in advance
