The River Cafe (Hammersmith)

• The decor of The River Cafe (Hammersmith) was very vibrant and lovely and therefore we thought the food would be good too but we were disappointed
• I felt that i could easily make the same dishes at home with a much better taste
• The River Cafe is located very close to Thames and happens to be a place alot of walkers or trekkers crash in
• The restaurant is quite cool and possesses a different personality obviously in a great way
• The service is fine and the staff is pretty attentive and is keen to take your orders
• The River Cafe (Hammersmith) is brilliant mostly because of its convenient location
• The gentry here is fun and thus makes the ambience more lively
• I was not satisfied by the mains that were served to me and therefore it may have fell short of my expectations
• The quantity was quite good and the price was reasonable as well
• The staff was pretty neat and they were helpful too
• The lighting is beautiful at the restaurant
• The interiors are intimate and romantic
• The restaurant is small for all the hype it gains
• The ingredients are fresh and the food is perfectly cooked
• The prices are steep but then worth it for the quality you get
• They have an interesting menu with varied options

• The service however was not up tot the mark
• To top it off the staff was unapologetic abut their mistake and plain rude
• The setting was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was quite a lively one
• The chocolate cake that I tried later on was also delicious
• The service though was lacking a bit on many occasions and the food was also on a quite expensive side
• If you are quite alright with the price range which is a little expensive
• The interiors are lovely and gorgeous
• The service is impeccable
• The food is not only smashing but is presented in a beautiful fashion
• Almost all the things that we ordered at this restaurant tasted amazing and were presented in an amazing way
• Was prepared with fresh squids
• The beef we ordered was perfectly roasted and tasted delicious
• The ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant and most of the servers were quite delightful
• Was brilliant and most of the other dishes ordered by us were absolutely delicious and truly mouth watering
• I had a reservation for 9 PM but I arrived here early and then also these people were so happy to find us a table
• The waitress was very lovely here and she had knowledge about the food too
• The setup of the restaurant is cool with bright interiors and pleasant environment
• Some of the dishes that i recommend are Dover sole and Panna cotta
• The service is great and the waiters are friendly
• Followed it with lamb and ravioli

• I found the place to be beautifully decorated with luxurious interiors and very prompt and attentive service
• Even though it was on the pricey side
• The selection of cheese is also quite nice
• I'd still say there are better choices for a beautiful and less expensive dinner in the city

• We had an antipasti course and must say it was quite delicious and wholesome at the same time

• The food though was quite expensive and the table that offered me was right next to the entrance which was pretty annoying at times
• I had olive oil which I must mention was the best that I have ever tried
• I had the veal to start which was a generous portions size and tasty
• My primo was a risotto with cougette flower
• The majoram was a little overpowering
• The chocolate nemesis was a hefty desert which I was lucky enough to be sharing
• The cooking at The River Cafe was indeed quality but it was simply far too expensive for my liking
• 40 for a main course at that kind of level was really questionable
• Had the most amazing food at the river cafe all the food is so fresh and delicious
• Their chocolate cake/ torte was what I dream about
• After watching the river cafe shows on the food network all I wanted was to taste their food
• I started off with the mozzarella
• A generous portion with a series of sweet and savoury samples to experiment with
• A lemon tart that was bruled on top
• Suffice it to say that his practice was chosen to rebuild Tower 3 of the Worlds Trade Centre in New York after it&rsquo
• Almond ice cream is my favourite
• One of the best meals of recent times
• The place itself is a little bit out there if you are within the heart of central London but the pasta and the entrees and especially the dessert were top notch
• Had a minor issue with the wine sommelier pouring us wine that had cork all over it and initially suggesting to filter out the cork which was strange but other than that great experience
• T expecting the slightly casual decor/table settings with random fluro panels
• We ordered plates to share between the three of us but I think this establishment is more order your own starter and main
• The standouts was the bruschetta and the tortellini
• The cheese would have been nice with some chutney/fruit accompaniments
• The River Cafe is THE place to be for pleasant weekend lunch
• The location is just wonderful when the weather is good
• Guided by a friend who is a River Cafe expert
• Everything was super tasty
