Phoenix Palace (Marylebone)

• Phoenix Palace is THE quintessential Chinese restaurant
• Arguably the best place for dim sum in West London
• Our table was booked for 8.30pm but they had lion dancers booked to do a show there at 7.30pm and we were welcome to come and watch before our meal
• The performers in the lion costumes were energetic and entertaining and the adults seemed even more excited than the kids
• Personally if I was a young child watching this for the first time
• Some people were trying to catch it
• Everyone in the restaurant was excited and loving the atmosphere
• Watching a little man/child walking around as Buddha in that mask was a little creepy &ndash
• He was a good sport and posed for photos with the diners
• Due to how busy the restaurant was on the evening
• My main I had delicious braised tofu with egg fried rice which is one of the best I&rsquo
• The food is amazing and so is the service
• Their lobster with garlic and chili is worth dying
• The ambience was authentically oriental
• Perhaps that was not the best way to taste a kangaroo fillet
• The Ostrich frontier is yet to be tasted for me
• This Chinese restaurant is authentically decorated
• Carpeted floor with Chinese designs and mahogany furniture
• The prawns are very well cooked and come with a tasty sauce
• Goes great with vanilla ice cream
• The interior is very traditional
• The portions are big enough to satisfy even my 6ft 6 frame
• The Peking Duck is a must here
• I was fascinated with the archaic and ancient interior decor
• I'm a big fan of noodles and my favourite is spicy Singapore noodles
• I enjoyed my meal as it was well prepared
• We usually order wasabi prawns for starters one of the best we've ever had
• Our other regular dishes are peking duck and laoganma chicken
• Their portions are big enough for sharing
• Phoenix Palace (Marylebone) is often visited by famous movie stars
• M Chinese) are all looking to celebrate the start of the Lunar new year
• What i had was really well cooked
• Big juicy pork buns and the second best rice and chicken pot I've tasted
• The service charge doesn't represent the service which is lacking in any charm and customer attention
• Phoenix Palace is a traditional Cantonese restaurant that has gained a reputation as one of the top Chinese restaurants in London
• I have to say I was quite disappointed by the crispy Wasabi Prawns we ordered this time
• The flavours were were interesting enough to get me curious about other dishes menu is extensive and I will definitely go back to try more
• My dishes matched nicely with Torrontes Riesling
• Peking duck with Rice Rolls and plum Sauce lives up to its expectations
• Schezuan squid was very delicious
• Reservations are recommended
• It has been a long time since i have been here and glad to say the food and service is second to none
• I do believe they might now have a private dining area so do ask if this is something you would be interested in
• Food arrived promptly and hot and Pheonix Palace is where you get food the way you think it will taste and does not disappoint
• There is no twist or infusion just what you order is what you get and nothing wrong with that
• I found we had great service but we did go on Wednesday at 6.30pm so it was only starting to get busy so maybe the best time to go
• Menu is vast with great selection for all including dim sum and vegi options
• Finally our favorite is deep fried full seabass fish with garlic and herbs spicy sauce
• So I looked towards our reservation at Phoenix Palace in Marylebone with much delight
