Pearl Liang (Paddington)

• The xiao long bao was pretty good
• Really good but the siu mai was just too mild and lack that flavour I was looking for
• The dough inside was super crispy and the sauce had the right balance of sweet and saltiness
• Well layered meat and fat and the skin were just super crispy
• The sauce here is not as sweet as Four Seasons which was really good and the steamed cabbage underneath adds that fragrant and sweet aroma
• Even armed with my smart phone and google maps
• Pearl liang is hidden in a secret location surrounded by buildings
• The reason I wanted to go to this specific place was to try out the wasabi prawns
• The roast pork puffs were out of stock so we ordered the chicken puffs
• Then we were told these were also out of stock
• The dumplings were the same as mostly every other Chinese restaurant in London &ndash
• We're spoilt because we grew up in Hong Kong and Singapore and have eaten the world's best xiao long bao
• The purple chairs and wallpaper were a bit garish
• Our table cloth was changed while we were still at the table waiting for the bill
• Not the poshest chinese in London and not the lightest food but overall service is very good and everything on the menu tastes good
• Their peking duck is amazing and quite bigger than Min Jiang's
• Dim sum again is among the best in London
• Despite the quality it is affordable
• The service is lovely (still remember us)
• The restaurant itself has a great interior with comfortable couches and big purple chairs
• Sizzling Beef with sweet Mandarin Sauce and the Crispy Aromatic Duck
• All the celiacs out there stick to egg fried rice with some of the crispy duck
• Having lived in China for a number of years it was great to find high quality dim sum that hadn't been watered down for a more bland English palette
• Because it is down the road from my office and ideal when I need a dim sum fix to fight the Monday blues

• Do not order the curry as it is way too watery (stick to the Chinese dishes)

• I use to go to Imperial China for dim sum this one is as good as my favourite Chinese in Soho

• I can also recommend the prawn with dried chilli however the service is hilariously bad
