  • The restaurant is on level 32 of the building and is run by Rainer Becker

  • Hinting at the pyramid shape of the Shard) is different however

  • The executive chef is Fabien Beaufour

  • The lounge is to the left

  • The lounge bar is of a similar size

  • As even on my lunch visit the restaurant was packed out

  • Again the dressing was carefully constructed

  • Main courses were less successful

  • 16) cooked on a rotisserie was pleasant enough

  • Garnished with rosemary and served with skordalia (a Greek dish of mashed potato with garlic)

  • The chicken was cooked well enough but had limited flavour (12/20)

  • This was still better than duck with mango chutney (£

  • Had distinctly overcooked duck that was also quite salty (11/20)

  • A little better was pecan and chocolate bar with bourbon ice cream (£

  • A restaurant in this striking location could get away with serving pretty much anything

  • For a restaurant group with the experience that this one has

  • It was a pity that the cooking consistency was not better

  • You enter this grill via the kitchen literally which is a great show confidence

  • Chicken and seafood offset with delicate flavours

  • I had Scallops and Sweet Corn (the Lobster Ceviche was finished unfortunately)

  • Mango and Passionfruit with a beautiful Basil Sorbet

  • Not much I can say as it was quite an average experience overall

  • An hour before our dinner (which was quite impressive in itself)

  • To be honest Oblix was a secondary motive for me but all that changed when we entered the place and the hostess took us to the lounge area

  • It was obviously packed as it was almost 9 PM on a Saturday night

  • We saw the drinks menu but since there was no place to even stand we decided to order the drinks at the table

  • I mean imagine sitting in a swanky restaurant on the 32nd floor of Europe's tallest building and your table is 20 feet away from the nearest window

  • This is literally the best beer I have had in my life

  • I will highly recommend this to anyone who is a beer person

  • Mint and Pomegranate with a side of Mac and Cheese

  • They kept us busy with some complimentary bread and butter

  • I could sense I was in for a treat

  • This goes in top 3 amazing meals I have EVER had (not exaggerating) and that was not just me

  • The food truly was a pleasant surprise

  • Pecan and chocolate bar with bourbon ice cream"

  • So the very second my main course was beautifully presented within a feet of me I knew it was going to be special

  • I have had black cod in Zuma and other places this was something else

  • It has to be one of the best fish dishes I have ever had at a restaurant

  • The coriander salsa compliments the delicate fish and it takes the flavours to the next level a decent medium bodied white wine to go with it is a must

  • Even the mac and cheese was spectacular

  • The whole point of going to a nice restaurant is good food more than anything else they do that really really well

  • Went expecting no more than a beautiful view but was incredibly surprised to find the food and service were nothing short of amazing

  • Tried and was very impressed by the octopus with grapefruit and avocado starter

  • Hand made ice cream (bourbon pecan ice cream was the best)

  • The place has a splendid bar with extremely polite hosts and bartenders taking care of your drinks

  • We had ordered the chicken and the whole sea bass with fennel and olives and I must say it was top notch

  • The place is steep with its pricing but I guess the view from the restaurant makes up for it

  • I love London and I believe one of the best ways to see the city is from a high vantage point

  • When the course was over Theresa moved back to her home town of Bristol but missed the sights and sounds of the capital city

  • A very foggy day meant the views were less than spectacular

  • All the starters were small and light

  • The dishes at Oblix are fairly simple but everything is cooked to absolute perfection

  • We rounded the meal off with a coffee and a pick and mix jar of sweet treats before heading up to the Shard's tallest view point

  • In fact it was worse as were now more level with the fog and clouds rather than below it was we had been at Oblix

  • The place can be enjoyed along with a group of friends or even for a romantic evening with a loved one

  • If you are a whiskey drinker the Americano is a must try or just any different liquor from their menu

  • The bar set up is beautiful and the bartenders are so skilful that they grab your attention

  • Since Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is way too popular it is usually crowded on weekends I would suggest a weekday evening with your loved one

  • Don't forget to click pictures with the beautiful scenery behind you

  • Saying that it was delicious and the service was great

  • We weren't at the window but our waiter moved us to a free window table for our dessert which was a nice touch

  • The food here is really good

  • Excellent service but the magical part is the dessert bar Mamma Mia

  • Only thing that bothered me was that I had no cell coverage on the top and their WiFi isnt very good

  • I completely agree with the previous negative review above regarding their service

  • This shows that there is a huge scope of improvement in their service

  • We only ordered a few drinks and even that order was messed up real bad

  • The service charge which was charged extra was a little too much at 13.5 %

  • The drinks we ordered wasn't exactly what was brought to us either

  • The service was spot on and it is a perfect place to spend your Sunday evening

  • The ambience is lovely and the music played in the background is enticing

  • Lobster Pappardelle is superbly delicious

  • Their cake menu was overwhelming

  • The food was quite decent but the main attraction of Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is it's amazing ambience

  • The views are amazing and their is a lovely band playing live music for your entertainment

  • The service is pretty decent

  • The whole experience is worth going at least once

  • This restaurant serves one of the best grills in the city

  • The prices are decent and reasonable for the quality you get

  • The live music is just heart warming and the vibe of the restaurant is very appealing

  • The Shard While Dubai is by far the most insanely amazing restaurant I have been to lately

  • The buffet was a huge spread with salads and vegetables

  • The buffet is steeply priced but with a glass of champagne per person and a sumptuous meal

  • Most of the tables were reserved and we were not seated immediately

  • We discovered that the drinks were extremely delicious and the bar staff was also quite friendly

  • The lounge area is very beautiful consisting of comfortable sofas and live music playing in the background

  • The food here is appealing and appetizing and the portions are very generous that really fills you up

  • Service as well was prompt and pleasing

  • Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is like one of the best place I have been to so far

  • The staff is incredibly friendly and the service provided by them is impeccable

  • The food we had ordered was served in time and turned out to be delicious

  • The pricing is very affordable and pocket friendly

  • Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is located at one of the best locations around and possesses an amazing view of Thames and the Tower Bridge

  • The staff is brilliant at their work and are quick and efficient

  • The pork is delectable along with the steak but disappoints at times

  • Going out and trying fusion food is one trend that is catching up amongst the youth

  • The food is worth relishing and the spices are so perfectly added that you will not want to try every dish that is available

  • Indulging in the dessert was like indulging in heaven

  • Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is located at an amazing location and possesses an amazing view

  • The food is a little overpriced but Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is worth giving a shot

  • The view of this restaurant and the scenery to which it opens up is the highlight of Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge)

  • The ambience was just fine and the seating was uncomfortable

  • The service was not that good

  • The staff is ready to help you on every occasion and they are sensitive to every need of yours

  • Despite attending to so many guests they are more than happy to help you with everything

  • The view of the whole skyline of the city was breathtaking and definitely worth paying

  • We had a lot of cocktails which were very uniquely flavoured

  • We ordered a variety of food and were delighted by all

  • Oblix has been the best out of all the restaurants I have been to

  • It is so romantic to be with your partner for a candle light dinner in a famous building of all in London and that also at such height

  • 150 for dinner there and the food was just not that amazing and portions were too small

  • The quality is commendable but if it doesn't fill you up then it is not worth it at all

  • I would definitely recommend you to go for a visit for the view because it is just so beautiful

  • A sharing style menu with wonderful live music in the evenings (comes with a £

  • The mastermind behind Oblix is Rainer Becker

  • The Executive chef is Fabien Beaufour who previously worked in The States at The French Laundry and Eleven Madison Park

  • Both of which are three Michelin starred restaurants

  • During weekdays there is a deli menu priced at £

  • The evening menu is a sharing menu with starter size plates ranging from £

  • We started our meal with some fabulous tidbits from the small bites section of the menu including fried padron peppers (£

  • The padron peppers had been sprinkled with crispy panko crumbs that gave them a lovely crunchy texture

  • Accompanying the peppers was a salt and balsamic powder that provided a nice touch of seasoning and an acidic contrast

  • The devilled eggs were also gorgeous

  • They had been topped with slices of aromatic truffle that heightened the flavour of the eggs

  • Crispy fried squid with salt and vinegar (£

  • The squid was tender and the batter was really well made as it was as light as a feather and very crispy

  • Also tasty was the crispy soft shell crab (£

  • The both scallops and sea bream were very fresh

  • Within the ceviche were crunchy samphire

  • Venison tartare with parmesan and truffle (£

  • The venison was meaty and it combined well with the earthy nuttiness of the parmesan and the aromatic truffle

  • The first of which was the lobster with bone marrow

  • A dish of grilled jumbo tiger prawns with grits and bacon (£

  • The prawns were sweet and meaty and were served in a gingery sauce

  • It had been paired with some creamy grits and bacon that proved to be an unusual combination

  • White truffle risotto with parmesan and mascarpone (8g of truffle &ndash

  • The risotto was creamy and the rice had an al dente quality to it

  • The risotto was also a little runny and could have done with a greater intensity of flavour

  • The accompanying pickled onions were too acidic and did not work well with the beef

  • The highlight dish of the evening was the grilled wagyu tenderloin with truffle jus and shavings of truffle (£

  • It was a glorious plate of food with the wagyu being lusciously fatty

  • The combination of this succulent piece of meat with the wonderful jus and slivers of truffles was amazing

  • The filling was creamy with an earthy quality to it and there was a topping of pecan nuts

  • Less enjoyable was the doughnuts with bacon and a maple and caramel sauce (£

  • The doughnuts were a little dense

  • TheLondonFoodie and I started our evening with a couple of well made cocktails (all priced at £

  • It had a refreshing bitterness from the Campari and was strong as he had hoped

  • Lychee bitters and bitten egg whites which was also expertly made and not too sweet

  • Cacao liqueur with mint and peach bitters

  • This cocktail was inspired by the story of Betsy Flanagan

  • A publican who was thought to have invented the &ldquo

  • She used to decorate her alcoholic drinks with tail feathers of roosters

  • Full bodied and with notes of citrus fruits and melon

  • The crispy squid was a great dish as were the venison tartare

  • We wish there were a few more affordable options on the food and drinks menu

  • The cocktails are strong and the London views are second to none

  • The popcorn banana split dessert was spectacular

  • The service could have been better it was a little disjointed and slow

  • We got a sampler platter which was surprisingly affordable at £

  • We were not surprised to find that there was a long queue downstairs waiting to get in (on a Sunday night)

  • Deep fried octopus was very delicious

  • I had to try Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) as it was started by the founders of my favourite restaurant Zuma

  • The highest skyscraper building in London with a magnificent view of London bridge and Tower brigde

  • The view from the lounge area is much more beautiful than from the restaurant

  • It was a nice place to sit in the lounge as it was less crowded than Aqua Shard

  • Make sure you book your visit first for the restaurant because it is always fully booked

  • We had dinner in the lounge area of the restaurant with a great table on the window although they did charge £

  • Food and service was excellent although if you want a drink other than wine the beer options are lacking with a choice of 4 and the one I had was not great

  • Brilliant live music (which is charged on the bill as entertainment fee

  • Our only mistake for the night was that we ended up with a full appetite and thus didn't see any point blowing 100 odd pounds on food

  • Drinks menu was pretty elaborate as the ladies chose a pinot grigio wine and we guys stuck to our beers

  • Oblix at Shard has ensured with this experience that I will be going back to Oblix definitely in my next trip to London

  • Dining on the 32rd floor with an incomparable view of the London skyline

  • We were there on a saturday evening and the place was definitely happening

  • As we wandered along London Bridge we were taking photos of the Shard and thought

  • The door people were really friendly and said they could fit us in for dessert

  • The doorman was super helpful he went off and found a place for us in the restaurant section which was much nicer and less pretentious than the bar section

  • The restaurant was really nice as you can see the chefs preparing all the meals as you walk through the restaurant and see all the meat and produce on display

  • So onto the food the dessert menu was very tempting

  • We settled on a pecan nut and chocolate bar with crunchy walnut bourbon ice cream and a caramel rum cocktail

  • Chocolate bar with the walnut ice cream was delicious

  • The walnut and chocolate bar was smooth but the base crunchy which was a great texture combination

  • Little bits of caramelized pecan were garnished on the side which added extra crunch to the dessert

  • Now onto the cocktail it was caramel ly but not overly sweet

  • It was a really nice drink which was abled to be sipped slowly

  • Overall it was a great night with the lights of London shining brightly below us making a great backdrop for the food &

  • We were seated against the window opposite the kitchen and there were some really tasty smells coming from the kitchen

  • This was by far one of the few restaurants that took my breath away with the magnificent views it has to offer of the tower bridge and the London eye

  • I'd opted for vegetarian in here and had ordered the mac and cheese and the Aubergine flat bread which were so heavenly that I re ordered to have the same dishes again

  • Overall there were some stunning dishes and some very average one

  • Other stand out dishes were the harissa lamb and the yuzu meringue dessert

  • Props to the waitress and the kitchen for supplying me with my favourite macaroons when they weren't on the menu

  • The view is unbelievable but it is something taken for granted though

  • Also cocktails are really impressive and the ambient is cool

  • I was dragged with strict orders not to pose any questions about the final destination

  • Everything was just picture perfect

  • The fried octopus with Avocado and grapefruit along with crab cakes formed the first round of starters for us

  • Every single bite of that fresh meat is imprinted on my neurons

  • The mains I ordered the Grilled Tiger Prawn with tomato and garlic dressing and roasted artichokes

  • My partner ordered the lamb chops with harissa and yoghurt

  • Such was the gastronomic high that I indulged myself in another round of starter (Soft shell crab with chilli mayonnaise) and mains (whole sea bass with fennel and olives)

  • They got this lovely scoop of vanilla ice cream with a birthday wish to finish off a remarkable evening

  • The entire experience has left us with such lovely memories that I cannot stop recommending Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) enough for special occasions

  • Being in the Lounge in the Oblix is one of the most romantic experiences I have ever had

  • Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge) is perfect for couples

  • The female singer was amazing and she played all my favourite soul songs

  • The musicians were equally as great

  • My plum cocktail was nice and sweet and the live music just made the experience that much more romantic

  • Overall the best experience I have had in a restaurant

  • Customer service was great as staff were so friendly and readily available to serve us

  • We had the shared taster menu with wine and it was fantastic

  • Great service with staff that know the food/ wine and happy to engage in conversation

  • The best place to enjoy London skyscape is Oblix Restaurant in the Shard

  • I booked Oblix last minute as my Mother In Law was going out of town and we wanted a nice dinner together

  • It's one of the best restaurants in London and I believe it won't change for last

  • The starters and desert buffet was very diverse

  • Focus on the pictures here and if you think they look nice it is because it was all nice

  • Visiting this iconic structure in the middle of London was a tick off my bucket list but fine dining in it as well was completely unexpected

  • From the minute you arrive till you leave you are attended to by a host or hostess and your waiter

  • The portion size is not as huge as its price but funnily enough the portion sizes are complementary and satisfactory from the starter to dessert

  • One of those rare middle of the week date night with my hubby while we were both in the same city

  • A pecan and chocolate bar with bourbon ice cream to end the meal

  • The sides of green beans with pancetta and truffle sauce was yumm and so was the broccoli

  • The lounge was busy and service suffered just a tiny bit

  • I felt like a well stuffed turkey but chuffed with the special evening out with my partner

  • I visited Oblix about a week ago when I was staying at the Shard

  • I think that Oblix is a little bit OVERATED

  • What I like about Oblix is the ambiance

  • So it was during sunset and the view was really breathtaking

  • The service was really busy

  • The staffs were friendly and helpful

  • The london bridge is completely on your mind when you are sitting right next to the window

  • Our booking was for 8pm so we were able to see the sights by day and again by night when darkness fell

  • Cocktails were delicious as was the wine but the wine was outrageously expensive

  • Our entrees were good apart from the calamari which was dripping in oil

  • Mains and sides were all very tasty

  • Another drink each and some photos taken by the window with Tower Bridge lit up in the background

  • Best restaurant in London with a best view

  • Awesome food with exceptional service

  • Lovely place beautiful sunset is beautiful from Oblix at The Shard (London Bridge)

  • Re really paying for the views which were stunning btw

  • With the show stoppers were really the Sea bass and the Halibut

  • My favourite was the Eton Mess and the toffee Creme brû

  • One of the best experiences i have been thro

  • Tried their crab salad and steak medium rare with the truffle sauce

  • Their truffle sauce with butter is HEAVEN

  • Food and ambience is equally great

  • Instead of paying 33 GDP for going up the shard and having a vied of city it is always better to be here and enjoy

  • All the dishes were cooked as asked and tasted nice

  • The wine and the desert were also really good

  • All of the food was amazing on the pricier end but worth it
