  • The Gordon Ramsay tag provides an assurance of high quality that is almost always met

  • The service is very pleasant

  • The restaurant interior is a little corporate and this is certainly reflected in the calibre of the other diners decked out as they are in smart suits and sharp tailoring

  • Today we're here with an offer 3 courses &

  • One of us is Vegetarian and the starters offer more than just the 1 obligatory Vegetarian option which is a pleasant surprise

  • I opt for Gazpacho and it is both tart and sweet at the same time

  • No such complaints were directed towards the Baked Beetroot salad which was a perfect balance of flavours

  • The most generous praise was leveled at the Onion tart

  • I didn't fare too much better with dessert I opted for a Summer Berry Millefeuille

  • Unfortunately the presentation was the best part of this dish

  • The cream was dense with little to no berry flavour and far too dense to be compared to a light airy summer dessert

  • Again (And this was starting to get annoying)

  • Her ordering talents were superior to mine and I heroically resisted from simply demolishing hers

  • My friend and I had two entirely different experiences the service was helpful and charming we both agreed

  • A mixed bag and so all I can say is that I'm glad we had a special deal to take advantage of

  • So the expectations were at the top

  • I feel that maybe I've put them too high and I was a bit disappointed with the Savoy

  • The room and service is a little bit intimidating

  • At first they kindly welcomed us and that was really nice

  • I tried as a starter a plate with all the different appetizers

  • The main courses were good with the exception of my plate but that was my plate

  • The dessert was also really good

  • We were the last to leave the restaurant that night and they were extremely polite to wait until we were done to start cleaning up

  • We ended up with a total bill of £

  • Atmosphere was the best part about Savoy Grill - Savoy Hotel (Strand)

  • Mixed grill and cottage pie were nothing special and the sides of mixed greens and cauliflower cheese did not fare any better

  • I have slowly become obsessed with the notion of afternoon tea

  • So when Aanchal told me she was visiting London

  • The first thing I did was ring up the Savoy and book us in for a spot of tea and sandwiches in their absolutely gorgeous Thames Foyer

  • I always walk past the stunning Thames Foyer en route to the other restaurants but have never actually eaten in there so was quite excited about our visit

  • The recently refurbished Thames Foyer is very much the heart of the Savoy

  • Complete with a stunning glass dome with an oversized garden gazebo beneath it

  • Add to that the pianist serenading you with some stunning tunes

  • 50) which comes with a selection of finger sandwiches

  • 52.50) which is great if you don&rsquo

  • T have a sweet tooth and comes with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast along with crumpets instead of the scones and pastries

  • The Savoy is a member of the Tea Guild and has received the Award of Excellence multiple times and you can see why with your very first sip

  • The tea menu here is extensive but the staff here are more than hap

  • Pleasent service with very caring employees

  • The classic summer puding is not so good

  • Maybe the meat was a little to well done for my taste but very good anyway

  • The value for money is what you would expect from this kind of restaurants

  • We had afternoon tea at The Thames Foyer which had a beautiful glass dome with comfortable sofas and a pianist serenading guests

  • The service was absolutely spot on and the selection of sandwiches and cakes / pastries was plentiful

  • The sandwiches were salmon and creme fraiche

  • We asked in advance for no egg sandwiches and they were absolutely fine with that

  • The scones with clotted cream and jam were absolutely beautiful and there was a huge selection of cakes

  • Had a lunch special that was affordable with a good selection of food

  • Another good Gordon Ramsey Restaurant with a lunch special

  • I chose the beef Wellington menu and it was one of the best meals I've ever had

  • The onion soup was also delicious

  • It is a beautiful traditional English hotel and at Christmas time it is extra special with its festive decorations

  • The Opentable offer was for a 4 course Truffle Escoffier evening for £

  • The restaurant was full and had a great buzzy atmosphere

  • Next we were served Linguini Pasta with Black Truffle

  • Pasta with Truffle is clearly one of those perfect matches made for each other

  • Bone marrow on toast with Black Truffle

  • The other choice on the menu was Braised Wild Halibut with pumpkin and black truffles

  • It is very difficult to surprise us with new mixes of flavours

  • The dessert was called Tutti Frutti Bombe

  • Was a slight twist of the 1970s Baked Alaska that which was flambé

  • The outer meringue was quite sweet

  • The Tutti Frutti ice cream inside really was a 'blast from the past'

  • We were then served chocolate truffles and tiny mince pies which were actually delicious

  • All in all the meal was very tasty and we all agreed that the restaurant and meal was a very good 8/10 and we would all definitely go back to have the Tournedos Bearnaise Beef again

  • Everything was a bit flat waiters very anxious to get order and seemed to lack it usual class The steak was tough and over salted so was the sauce

  • The Savoy Grill is a very pleasant restaurant

  • The service is top notch &ndash

  • The wine list is extensive with some nice surprises

  • The famous Beef Wellington is made with exceptional meat

  • It may not be london's best restaurant

  • The service is excellent attentive with a touch of theatric flare

  • I had the baked Hereford snails to start they are served de shelled with garlic and red wine

  • I had the Sole Victoria served on a bed of spinach and topped with shaved black truffle

  • Menu selection is not too varied

  • Food safety is paramount in our dining experience

  • The omelette Arnold Bennett and the Gordon Ramsay Beef Wellington were the highlights of the night

  • Loud and large room with tables too big for intimacy

  • The service was immaculate

  • My champagne flute was never full unless I wanted it to be

  • The only major con was the size of the table

  • A visit if you are a big gang

  • Had to reserve months in advance but still had to wait for our table although they were friendly about it

  • T know how it was made at the time)

  • Mains my brother had sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection

  • The manager was really nice and got me another one which unfortunately was burnt all around so I could only eat the inside which was still nice (the manager didn&rsquo

  • The potatoes were amazing but there was a layer of oil underneath and the fries were a bit too salty

  • I had onions with my steak which were quite sour

  • The desserts were cherry sorbet and macaroons

  • My brother loved them both and I thought the sorbet was nice but the flavours were not my cup of tea

  • The service was good and the food was okay

  • They are kid friendly and and the staff is knowledgeable
