New China (Chinatown)

• Well I was invited to New China (Chinatown) with one of my friend
• This is the third time I went to china town and first time with some chinese friends
• All in all it is good deal as hot pot has two different type of soups in which you dip the meat
• One is spicy and other one is not so spicy
• It was basically water with aleo vera chunks
• Over all food is good and eat as much you can in 20 pound is not bad but don't go for that green looking drink
• We had one waiter who was very accommodating and another who was very impatient with us
• Quality of the dim sum is a cut above average
• We were really impressed with the shell fish cheung fun and dumplings
• In that different dipping sauces were supplied for different dishes
• The bean curd skin spring rolls came with a tangy tamarind based sauce
• The paper wrapped prawns came with a sweet chilli sauce
• The only dish I probably wouldn't order again was the fish congee
• I booked for a Saturday meal with a male over the telephone
• I then asked what is going on as we stood there a further 3 minutes
• A man then told me to follow him as he could see we were getting annoyed
• When seated I told him to bring the bottle of wine that came with the Groupon and I would see what the children wanted in the meantime
• He claimed my name was not on the list so I would have to pay and come again during the weekday with the Groupon
• The starters were all ordered and they came separately
• I went upstairs to call their parents at which point I was told I have to leave one of the children downstairs
• This was even though our coats were still at the table
• There were people at each door (apparently stopping me from leaving without paying As I said our things were still at the table)
• I said there doesn't need to be so many people dealing with one person
• At which point I asked if him and his colleagues being there was necessary as the person who was serving had things under control
• Only good thing was the prawns
• Their Chicken Spring rolls was absolutely disgusting
• Sour Chicken was more vegetables than Chicken
• The Prawn Noodles was waaaay too salty (even one of the children commented about the salt)
• Their drinks are overpriced
• Even though there are numerous people walking around playing with each other (slapping each others bum and running off)
• They did not tend to the needs of their customers and the room downstairs were speaking about the lack of customer service
• Tom yum soup was good and authentic to taste
• The lamb was very delicious and best in the menu
