Moka East (Stratford)

• Toast topped with smoked salmon topped with a poached egg topped with hollandaise
• The atmosphere is kooky and the decorations are mismatched
• There are guitars propped up around the place labelled with invitations for anyone to pick up and play
• Both staff and clientele are pretty bohemian
• With an outdoors art gallery lining the way to the front doors it is clearly a self consciously unique place
• Not particularly accessible unless you live in the Bow/Stratford area or are having a day out to the Olympic Park
• S life when all you want to do is have a good breakfast and walk around a park all day
• Moka East was a lovely find on one such Sunday with the perfect lazy vibe of a lethargic café
• T need loud music and too many people talking around you when all you want to do is sit on a sinky leather couch and read the papers
• I had the Kippers with Egg and toast for breakfast which was a little too salty for my taste but I forgive them that for the rest of the happy experience
• Staring out into the open with a hot mug of coffee in one hand and a book in the other
