The Counter Café (Hackney)

• Just when the Olympics stadium was being built
• Oh the coffee is also top notch rich in aroma and complemented well with my breakfast
• Scrambled eggs with vegetables
• Now being born with Indian pallets I can be a little demanding on the powerful flavour but but but this was a whole lot different case
• The people were friendly and forthcoming with suggestions
• The whole decor is arty and welcoming
• No doubt the best coffee in East London that is actually roasted in house
• These guys know what they are talking about
• Every day there are different cakes and treats being offered
• Also the salad of the day is always different and always amazing
• A sweet option try the Counter roasted muesli which is absolutely insane
• A poor little bird trapped in a skittles packet is an example of the artwork that greeted us as we entered the Stour Space gallery (home of The Counter Cafe)
• Going to The Counter Cafe is therefore a culturally enriching experience
• Whilst a table was found for us
• I was especially impressed with the iced coffee
• Was served with syrup to pour in
• Very muggy and we were indeed floating
• At no point were we rocking from side to side
• All dishes that we had were top notch ☺️
• Only downside is that its far from central
• Suddenly every weekend it was absolutely packed
• In the shadow of what was the Olympic park
• I have been visiting The Counter for the last 4 years and though the area has changed it continues to be the same chilled out eatery with great quality food
• The chalk board menu fits in perfectly with the uncontentious surroundings
• The food may not seem like anything out of the ordinary but the fact that they only use natural and organic products that are locally sourced can definitely be tasted in these classic brunch dishes
• The orders are not rushed out of the kitchen and are all freshly prepared
• The cafe had quite a few vegetarian options along with their meat counterparts
• The French toast was the best I have ever had
• Potatoes and the eggs were melt in the mouth smooth
• By the Regent's canal and with view on the Olympic stadium
• The counter Cafe is the best Cafe in London
