  • This restaurant is nested on top of a posh hotel in Kensington high street

  • The ambiance is high class hotel restaurant with an oriental touch

  • Star of the meal is the wood fire roasted Peking duck

  • The chef will first shave the crispy skin served with sugar as a starter

  • Before carving the meat that will be served with thin pancakes to be rolled with cucumber and plum sauce

  • I a not sure about the rest of menu as we were not much hungry and ordered just the duck

  • The only downside was probably the slightly pushy waitress

  • One of the best Chinese restaurants in London

  • The dim sum is great (very fresh and good quality ingredients) and the views you have of Hyde Park are matched

  • Other dishes are also of a very high standard

  • Layers of lush greenery with the magnificent London skyline behind

  • What we ate was just as great

  • The restaurant is quite dated and more informal with a family atmosphere

  • Several manly business dinners were going on around us

  • Some of the best Chinese food we&rsquo

  • The finale was with my closest friends at Min Jiang

  • The signature legendary Beijing duck was a must for me

  • Inside bursting with fresh ingredients that you can actually taste

  • Eating the duck with the two different sauces made the experience pleasurable

  • The lip smacking duck itself was on the slightly greasy side

  • Ambience is nice with a window seat

  • The rib eye dish which was also good and a two person portion

  • The starter scallop was tasteless but the mainstream was nice

  • The minute you stepped in the restaurant they were there to pull your seat out

  • Located on the top floor in the Royal Garden Hotel in High Street Kensington with great views of Kensington Gardens

  • Min Jiang serves traditional Chinese food with a mixture of regional cuisines rather than singly focus on certain types

  • A duck technician presented and prepared the duck by the table and it is served in the traditional way

  • A very authentic place if you are a great fan of Peking style roast duck

  • Min Jiang - Royal Garden Hotel (Kensington) is highly famous for duck among the Chinese

  • Min Jiang restaurant that launched in 2008 to excellent reviews and was awarded three AA Rosettes in 2009

  • Though the main star of the show here is usually the duck

  • On our visit we were lucky enough to sample the dum sum platter

  • S Legendary wood fired Beijing Duck is indeed worthy of high praise

  • The meat was tender and juicy with a good amount of fat and crispy

  • It was served with light and airy pancakes

  • Really nice restaurant with an amazing view of Hyde Park

  • The food is really probably one of the best in London (Chinese food that is)

  • It looks expensive (and it is expensive)

  • Squid and selection of dumplings are so delicious

  • Oriental mohito is love❤️

  • This week I was lucky enough to bag myself a dinner for two at Min Jiang restaurant in the Garden Palace Hotel in Kensington

  • The Royal Garden Hotel is a glamorous place on the edge of Kensington Gardens

  • Restaurants with a view&rsquo

  • The set menu itself was fine but nothing mind blowing with dishes such as a crabmeat and egg white golden cup and a scallop XO dumpling proving to be the highlights

  • The wood fired Beijing duck is something quite awesome

  • It's one of the better Beijing ducks I've had in London and is worth coming back just for it

  • It didn't come cheap though and with places like Goldmine produce a product of similar quality at a fraction of the cost

  • It serves the best duck in town

  • D even go as far as saying theirs is better than the usual London favourites Gold Mine and Four Seasons (the latter having been rather disappointing over the years in terms of food and service)

  • S most authentic Chinese restaurant (note how the duck was brought out by a white man so not so sure what authentic means)
