  • I read the best reviews online and in print and I was extremely curious to eat there as I believe there are not that many good Greek restaurants in London

  • The starters were divine but both our mains were really really bad

  • The lamb wraped in filo was overcooked (black in some places) and the chicken super dry

  • Greek food in it's basis is simple whereas Mazi is trying to oversmart Greek cuisine which really defies the point

  • The jars (appetizers) are phenomenal

  • We always order all of them and then their greek salad (standout dish) with one or two mains

  • No need to even have mains but the feta tempura is worth a try

  • Al fresco patio is great in summer

  • We were presented with shots of something that we suspected was alcoholic but was only a tiny bit so a pineapple/passionfruit juice concoction with something akin to grappa

  • We didn't try any of their dessert (opting to finish the evening in a nearby pub with some more vino

  • It's somewhere that you would benefit from going with a larger group so you could try lots of different things

  • My personal favourite is the Galaktoboureko desert

  • London has been taken over with cuisines from all over the world and it&rsquo

  • Crisp and there is a lot of natural light

  • They start you off with a complimentary bread selection

  • P The buckets comes with a selection of breads and the quality is superb

  • Their jars are one of the best things on the menu

  • They go really well with the bread especially the Spicy Tiropita and Filo Pastry Jar (my absolute favourite

  • I could fill myself up with the jars and some bread yum

  • We ordered the wild cod but as pretty as it looked and the dish was constructed well it didn&rsquo

  • She did warn me that it was seriously delicious

  • Everything on the menu is designed to be shared amongst the table my favourite way to dine out

  • I prefer a low key birthday nowadays the curse of a December birthday is always having to battle the chaos of Christmas

  • Our first dish was grilled aubergine with soy and thyme honey in a jar

  • Next to arrive was also another Jar dish oak smoked mackerel with a very lemony quinoa

  • Mixed into the quinoa were some cranberries (I think)

  • The contrast of the sweetness from the berries with the zingy tang from the lemon was delicious

  • There were the souvlaki with pork wrapped in rice rolls and an amazing calamari dish with rocket pesto riceless risotto

  • We finished off our meal with the shredded Rabbit Stifado with pearl onion cream and the Black Truffle Chicken

  • Tender and sweet thanks to the sauce it was served with

  • The Black Truffle Chicken was also tender and juicy

  • The mushrooms served on the side were buttery and rich

  • Our meal was topped off with these lovely doughnut bites drizzled in warm honey and lavender

  • T exactly the best of friends

  • We had to book in advance it is so worth it and everyone was just so nice

  • It was one the best meals I've had in a long time

  • It's a bit pricey for relatively small portions but you do taste that the food is really high quality

  • Atmosphere is very warm and lively

  • Feels very comfortable there but it can get a little bit loud at times as tables are very close to each other

  • Would definitely recommend Mazi (Notting Hill) for someone who would like to try Greek food that is more than what you traditionally get

  • Hows and whys but just remind people that life is sometimes a Very Serious Game

  • I will not cast any aspersions on which I think is more worth of careful thought

  • The whole concept of Mazi revolves around the fact that their dishes are meant to be shared by every guest at the table

  • We started with perfectly grilled aubergine

  • An authentic tzatziki with only a pinch of garlic

  • I loved the mix of the creamy feta with the crunchy batter

  • The herbed potato salad and olive tapenade were the perfect accompaniments

  • My absolute favorite part was the Greek desserts

  • Mazi is the best modern representation of the Greek cuisine in London

  • The service and staff were excellent and accommodating

  • Mazi is a wonderful Greek restaurant around Notting Hill which is perfect for a refreshing meal on those sporadic days of sunshine we may have in London (or even when there isn&rsquo

  • The interior of Mazi is equally lovely with its whitewashed walls that make you feel like you are in Greece
