  • The restaurant is nicely located in a quiet corner overlooking a water body

  • The interiors are rather staid

  • As the place wasn't very busy so we got immediate attention from the staff and the service was reasonably prompt

  • Paneer 65 and chicken varuval were really good

  • The chicken varuval was really spicy though we felt that the chicken was a bit dry

  • The lamb curry was by far the best dish that we had ordered

  • The lamb was succulent and spicy and the minced lamb liver in the curry was an added bonus

  • The Goan Prawn curry was good and I enjoyed the strong flavour of fenugreek seed though I must admit there was nothing 'Goan' about the dish

  • Manjal's appams are in a league apart

  • Perhaps the best that I have had in London

  • The Curry Lamb here is a must have

  • The food here is extremely delicious

  • The service here is great with the staff being friendly

  • This time around the story was a bit different

  • I enjoyed my meal with a beautiful view

  • The starters we had were outstanding and the wine suggested to us

  • The service was really good with very welcoming staff

  • Brocoli varuval which were rather delicious

  • The freshness of food here is highlight of the whole dish

  • My first experience of Manjal Indian Restaurant (Isle of Dogs) was all nice and good

  • I ordered a mutton curry for take away and all i kept doing was picking little little bones out of my mouth all night

  • The samosas are freshly made

  • The prawn curry with coconut milk is ok only

  • A word of caution this is a true authentic South Indian restaurant so it's spicy but I love it

  • I been there only the starters are good but the main course are not at all good one of the worst chicken biryani I ever had in this restaurant

  • Leisurely pace) but builds the appetite for what was clearly going to be an indulgent meal

  • We had the papad basket (one of the chutneys was really good

  • Dal Makhani is one of the best items they have ( m a veggie

  • They have samosas as starters which are quite tasty

  • Worth going if you are desperate for Indian food in Canary Wharf (which has just 1 or 2 Indian places

  • Quantity of every dish is sufficient

  • The food quality is very bad and the service even worse

  • The manager was drunk and behaved indecently finally I had to leave my food and walk out

  • Most of the diners were Indian so you knew it must be good

  • Had a lamb Varuval which is diced lamb in a dry hot sauce

  • A small portion of pillau rice with curry leaves and mustard seeds was a super accompaniment

  • Accompanied with a glass of their house red

  • This restaurant is a step up and a welcome progressive change and move forward in Indian food dining

  • This is exactly what happened with us (my wife &

  • We've visited Manjal before and always liked the food but not service (which is good when the restaurant is empty but extremely rude when operating at full capacity)

  • We were given a table for 4 with no napkins

  • Your food may be really good but do you even know how to treat and behave with your customers who help make your restaurant what it is

  • If your staff is going to behave abusively simply because they cannot handle a full capacity evening (which we were repeatedly given as an excuse)

  • Please note Manjal is by no means a "

  • The papadums and green yoghurt chutney was really mouthwatering to begin

  • Garlic naan and kadai vegetable gravy which were all just about perfect

  • After all the mediocre Indian I've had in central London I was sceptical to say the least

  • I must say though it was quite cold inside

  • Being about 2 degrees outside I expected the dining room to be reasonably warm but I was definitely cold

  • Everything was delicious and exactly how it should be

  • Loved it and was a great start

  • The veg kothu paratha was tasty but a little two wet

  • The ghee roast was really surprisingly good

  • Homestyle curry was so amazingly good

  • With a few pieces of potatoes that had soaked in all the flavour and proper chunks of lamb this curry was so good with the decadent cheese naan and the wonderfully fluffy yet crispy garlic naan

  • Not really convinced it's a chettinadu style but nevertheless it had flavour and went well with the very tasty peas pulao but not as good as the lamb curry

  • We been given nice table with some glitter on our table with 2 Bottles of still water complimentary two glass of presecco

  • The girl who was serving us really looked after &

  • The gobi munchurian and aalu or samosa chaats are definitely worth trying

  • They make their Malabaar parottas from scratch which are definitely worth a go

  • The restaurant is trendy and nestled along side Quay waters

  • All the items are lovely and ambience as well is good

  • The service is impeccable and i have nothing to complain about Manjal Indian Restaurant (Isle of Dogs)

  • Manjal Indian Restaurant (Isle of Dogs) is a complete rip off

  • PS Their curry was below average for the money they charge

  • Good indian food chaat starters were nice and main course was delicious (paneer was really cooked well and so was dal makhni)

  • They will say that they can't find it and then send the huge security guard standing near the door to talk to you he is offensive and abusive

  • If you live in E14 and if you want to have good South Indian food along with a good dining experience

  • Manjal Indian Restaurant (Isle of Dogs) is perched in Cross Harbor and the nearest station is Cross Harbor DLR or South Quay DLR or a short walk from Canary Wharf underground station

  • Pop into the restaurant to have a crispy dosa served with chutney varieties and sambar

  • Every dish on the menu is like how it should taste

  • Place could do with more politeness

  • One of the best place for Indian food

  • Whenever you enter the restaurant they always greet you with a smile and the food there is simply amazng

  • The ambiance was great along with the servers

  • Though somewhere the authentic taste of India was missing but it can be made better to take the restaurant to the next level

  • My only problem with it is the price

  • The service was good and quick

  • Preparation was also up to the mark

  • Good place to answer your cravings for South Indian food in London if you are OK with the price and working/visiting the near by areas

  • One of the best Indian restaurants in London

  • The chat section is the best and their parathas are delicious

  • The location is nice and you can walk around the river before or after

  • All of them were excellent (I tried at least the sauce from all of them

  • Prices aren't outrageous but are definitely CW prices
