  • I had aubergine stew with a mountain of rice which was awesome

  • They didn't have any fizzy drinks when I went but had yoghurt drink (which I didn't try as I had it elsewhere and it was too salty)

  • Freshly pulped orange juice and tea which was like Turkish tea served nice and strong and unsugared (how I like it)

  • The waitress didn't know which were the traditional Kurdish dishes but checked we had everything and that we were content

  • Despite only having one dish and one of the cheapest at that I was completely stuffed and the bill was disproportionately low
