Dal Makhni is also one of their specialties
-
The restaurant is these days effectively a showcase for the cooking of the company
-
Tender and with a well balanced spicy marinade (14/20)
-
Murgh malai tikka is marinated with spices and cheese to tenderise it before being cooked in the tandoor
-
Another good dish was fried cauliflower florets (13/20)
-
Naan bread was pleasant but not qiute as supple as I like (12/20) and I preferred the bhatura (13/20)
-
The service was back to its usual smooth self this evening
-
Offering authentic Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist it is the first new restaurant from the Madhu's brand since the opening of its renowned Indian restaurant in Southall
-
Baby calamari with aromatic spiced salmon rillettes
-
The celebratory opening was running a little late
-
We got to try the Chivas (cocktails) and Champagne accompanied with delicious canapes
-
The main meal was held buffet style with dishes from a wide variety from chicken
-
It did almost feel like attending a wedding where the hoards and queues for the food were lengthy but we luckily didn't have to wait to long
-
My favourites were the wasabi prawns surprisingly
-
The restaurant is lit in golden red hues
-
With crystal features and the grill even slightly hid behind a glass window is tucked away it remains prominent in recipes on the menu
-
S restaurant is an institution in Southall
-
S speciality foods are also exclusively available in Harrods&rsquo
-
Around 40% of all my reviews are on Indian restaurants i just can't get enough of it
-
Depth of flavours and warm friendly service it is no wonder why I'm so addicted to the cuisine and most of Britain
-
Believe it or not is only a twelve minute journey from Paddington station
-
Once you arrive in Southall you're immediately greeted with the intense smell of what i thought was onion bhajis i got quickly excited
-
A mere five minutes later and we arrived at the restaurant we were to be dining at Madhus
-
Compared to the rest of the restaurants on the high street Madhus was very smart
-
After arriving thought the doors we quickly settled in with a bottle of wine each
-
A few starters quickly made their way out to us and first was an absolutely stunning single achari king prawn
-
An up close and personal photo with this piece of paneer couldn't be helped
-
When paneer is cooked right
-
More often than not I'm faced with something resembling rubber
-
The paneer was so soft and crumbly but still retained a layer of its yogurt coating which hadn't got lost in the cooking process
-
The cream cheese marinade was subtle but in abundance
-
Was a deeply rich coloured dish of baby aubergines stuffed with an array of spices and potatoes
-
All encompassed in a thick sauce with a final sprinkle of coriander
-
If i was faced with such delicious dishes as this
-
Containing beautifully soft aubergines and bursting with all that flavour you can easily forget about all the meat
-
We had chilly chicken in starters which didn't live up to its name as it was on mild side but still tasted delicious
-
Mains we had were dal makhani
-
Portion size were generous for the price and all tasted authentic Indian
-
Restaurant was not even busy
-
The starter was blend over fried dry
-
Rather nice restaurant spread across two levels (we were on the ground) with some very good service
-
The highlight was the food which is truly worthy of the reputation of the place
-
The portions are huge too which meant a bit of leftovers
-
The food is nice and tasty and the service and staff are amazing I liked the non veg so for me it's was a plus point
-
Pilaf Rice 'Thin rice grains with some tough green peas'
-
Madhu's (Southall) is very central in Southall
-
Best choice was Bhindi masala
-
All vegetarian choices were really good
-
So make sure you are not allergic
