Tonight's meal was the most expensive I've ever had to pay
-
Today I can say with certainty that I'm not
-
I also know now that I am not a steak person if the best steak in London doesn't do it for me
-
With myself teaming up with another to split an Angus Rib Eye and American New York Strip we had no idea which to choose so we hedged our bets
-
Starters and sides were standard enough
-
Barring the table bread which was all kinds of awesome
-
Table configuration and service all confirm the theory that after a certain cost it's the experience you pay for and all were pretty much top notch
-
Also on par with other places I've been to but of a fraction of the price
-
Course on principle there is no way I can give JW Steakhouse a general recommendation
-
If someone with more money than sense did ask me if I knew of a top end steakhouse that would offer halal meat
-
The atmosphere in the JW Steakhouse is more than cozy
-
The cuisine is mainly Anglo American and I would recommend to order the Grilled Lobster
-
Hickory Smoked Short Ribs in BBQ Sauce or the Longhorn Burger with crisp bacon which are from my favourites as a main dishesh
-
Their wine list is marvelous as well
-
JW steakhouse is set within the Grosvenor House Hotel
-
Polished feel to it with low lighting &
-
The service here is very attentive
-
Were presented with a tasty little loaf baked in a small pot it was delicious
-
The steak arrived as a whole piece and with it's huge bone throughout looked like something fred flintstone would eat
-
We were asked to check if it was cooked how we had requested (it was perfectly medium rare) they took the steak back to the kitchen to slice up for us
-
Worked so well with a perfectly zingy bearnaise sauce
-
The truffle salt fries were delicious with a lovely flavour
-
The mushrooms were great but I would have preferred them to have been a bit more garlicky
-
To finish my other half insisted we went for what is dubbed the 'best cheesecake this side of the pond' at £
-
14 it is an expensive dessert but then when it arrived we could see why it was enough to feed 5 people
-
The gingery base was so good but the best cheesecake in the country
-
Mmm I'm not sure it was nice but I wasn't wowed
-
A trip to JW steakhouse is a real treat
-
The service is flawless and the interior has a certain luxurious appeal
-
I ordered the 'New York Strip' with a stilton and port sauce and my partner ordered the Oscar fillet
-
The portions were of a good size and it's safe to say that I felt satisfied with the meal
-
Both of which are incredible
-
JW steakhouse is located inside the Grosvenor hotel on parklane which is a JW Marriott property
-
My first impression of the property was very good it is very beautiful and located in the heart of the city overlooking the magnificent Hyde park
-
The steakhouse is quite big with outdoor seating
-
My order consisted of half a lobster baked with garlic butter
-
The prawn cocktail was very good the prawns and lettuce were very fresh and the cocktail sauce was very good
-
The crab cake was quite flavourful and quite big for a small portion however
-
The lobster was the real star it was perfectly cooked and bursted with flavor
-
To end the meal I ordered the JW cheesecake which was another cracker of a dish
-
Prawn Cocktail Jumbo prawns with Caviar What more could you ask for
-
Potatoes Gratin with truffle salt on top Gorgeous
-
Ultimate Cheesecake You must try this It's the best I have ever had
-
Apple Pie So fresh filled with apple bits and raisins
-
Make sure you are hungry because you will be full for days
-
I had the grilled prawns there were four pieces and ya perfectly grilled
-
Every visit was full of great culinary experiences
-
I can definietely recommend beef fillet oscar with some shrimps and sauce on top or just new york strip
-
Perfectly grilled as requested (medium rare in our case is the only possible way)
-
You won't be able to have a main course after that for sure) and interesting soups of the day (I had mushroom one with truffle oil on top it was absolutely amazing choice on a rainy evening)
-
Even better reason to come over is famous JW cheescake
-
Propably the best cake I had been eating in my whole life
-
All the ingredients are imported from US
-
The cake itself is baked in hotel
-
Thoroughly enjoyed the cheesecake the filling is a little bit runnier than your average cheesecake
-
It may not be the best cheesecake I've ever had
-
The portion is huge and good for atleast 3 4 people
-
Could not have been more displeased to seat us and were so rude and arrogant
-
They kept hovering and it was like they could not wait for us to leave
