Iskele (Hendon)

• A relatively small joint with a capacity of about 25 30 people at any given time
• We went there on a day when a family had thrown a birthday bash and hence it was a little noisy
• That didn't matter to us since the staff was extremely courteous and made sure they catered to us adequately despite the crowd that had gathered
• They offer free home delivery which is a plus especially now with the winters approaching
• The ingredients used and the quality of the meat is a cut above the usual restaurant of this type and the staff are helpful
• Placed an order with Iskele (Hendon)
• The waitress I spoke to was nice and apologetic
• The next waitress was rude and didnt want to know about it
• They delivered the second order 10 mins after the phone call and it was in the same state as the last one
• I will NEVER order from those rude people again and I will tell anyone who wants turkish food to not place their order with that place
• Seriously DO NOT order from Iskele (Hendon) there are literally a thousand better more amiable places around the area
• If you want calamari i recommend only order when its a shop near the sea where they know what they are doing and how to cook
• Plus i think it was really old
• Just dripping with oil tasted so rank (had to spit it out in my tissue discreetly mind you)
• Kofta was horrendous from the bad smell ( and no this was not just the smell you get from cooking meat) it smellt like bad meat
• It tasted like the cheap meat dishes you get in morrocco which you can tell is not chicken or lamb after eating them all your life
• So would not advice anyone to go as a principle of hygiene and risk of crap cooking unless you want to go home with a severe stomach ache
• It was horrendous to the point it was ridiculous
