Indigo - One Aldwych (Aldwych)

• We dined at Indigo we arrived tired and was looking for wanted a good food
• We felt we needed the Rib eye steak which came perfectly cooked medium rare with french fries and sauce bearnaise
• This steak was outstandingly good in both flavour and texture
• A couple of glasses of decent claret helped to wash it down and then we were again blissfully happy
• Service by a experienced waitress was nonetheless faultless and we enjoyed the experience in Indigo very much

• Even though the milk sounds insanely sweet it was perfect think chocolate milk with just a hint of caramel
• Casual setting and it is definitely the most memorable afternoon tea I've ever had to date
• Ticket package where you can combine your afternoon tea with a ticket to see the musical
• We've been dining out a lot lately (you may have noticed) so it was lovely to have a more informal meal in the comfortable autumn hued restaurant
• We really enjoyed the Modern European menu and chose a simple smoked salmon platter served with blinis and some crab on toast to start
• Mr S went seasonal with a perfectly cooked venison and poached pear
• Sea bass and seafood is always in fashion so that was my choice
• I love pancakes and cooked fresh with the addition of chocolate chips these are just divine
• The chicken is cooked perfectly and the bouillon gravy is just wonderful
• Buttermilk panna cotta with rhubarb compote
• Bellini sorbet and apple upside down cake with apple sorbet
• Indigo restaurant at One Aldwych is a wonderful escape from the craziness of London
