We dined at Indigo we arrived tired and was looking for wanted a good food
-
We felt we needed the Rib eye steak which came perfectly cooked medium rare with french fries and sauce bearnaise
-
This steak was outstandingly good in both flavour and texture
-
A couple of glasses of decent claret helped to wash it down and then we were again blissfully happy
-
Service by a experienced waitress was nonetheless faultless and we enjoyed the experience in Indigo very much
-
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 1964 children's book by British author Roald Dahl
-
Tim Burton's film adaptation of the book in 2005 with Johnny Depp as the quirky Willy Wonka
-
The lovably sweet or humorously rotten characters coupled with dark humour made this dazzling movie an unforgettable one for me
-
34.50) or Afternoon tea with a glass of Lallier Grande Ré
-
Brought over to the table with smoking dry ice furiously bubbling from a clear glass teapot
-
The cocktail is then poured into a tall and skinny martini shaped glass
-
I loved the effect and presentation of this whimsical cocktail because it is a spot on portrayal of the peculiar
-
The concoction resembled something more like a science experiment than a cocktail it was really delicious and easy to drink
-
Dalmore whisky mixed with Grand Marnier Cherry
-
A black tea with wild strawberry leaves
-
An organic Earl Grey with lavender from Provence
-
After our sandwiches and tarts we were served a basket of warm scones with plum jam
-
The pastry basket was accompanied by a very impressive "
-
Golden egg with vanilla cheesecake and mango puré
-
This blueberry brioche was mind blowing ly tasty
-
Even though the milk sounds insanely sweet it was perfect think chocolate milk with just a hint of caramel
-
Casual setting and it is definitely the most memorable afternoon tea I've ever had to date
-
Ticket package where you can combine your afternoon tea with a ticket to see the musical
-
We've been dining out a lot lately (you may have noticed) so it was lovely to have a more informal meal in the comfortable autumn hued restaurant
-
We really enjoyed the Modern European menu and chose a simple smoked salmon platter served with blinis and some crab on toast to start
-
Mr S went seasonal with a perfectly cooked venison and poached pear
-
Sea bass and seafood is always in fashion so that was my choice
-
I love pancakes and cooked fresh with the addition of chocolate chips these are just divine
-
The chicken is cooked perfectly and the bouillon gravy is just wonderful
-
Buttermilk panna cotta with rhubarb compote
-
Bellini sorbet and apple upside down cake with apple sorbet
-
Indigo restaurant at One Aldwych is a wonderful escape from the craziness of London
-
A full review of our entire meal and stay at the hotel is on my blog Sunny in London
-
The dinner was spectacular
-
Everything was truly 5 star
-
T come if you are just looking for boring sandwiches and cakes that will give you a toothache
-
This tea set is based on Charlie and Chocolate factory musical
-
The setting lets it down the restaurant is not themed and is a drab
-
The least they could have done is to have a small chocolate bar with a winning gold wrapper
-
We were a party of five but were offered a savoury portions for 4 persons only
-
The pastries were miserable and the flat white I ordered took 40 minutes to arrive and was hideous
-
Most people I know have one or more food intolerances and many of us compound that with dietary preferences
-
There are plenty of good vegetarian or flexitarian restaurants around now and my personal take is that those who chose a vegetarian or vegan diet shouldn&rsquo
-
T demand things to suit themselves that might not appeal to those of us with a carnivorous bent
-
The week before my 25th birthday was full of dinners and celebrating with friends
-
Considering everything on the menu was gluten free and dairy free
-
We were both incredibly impressed with the choices available and the gorgeous surroundings of the hotel
-
A beautiful hotel with an addition of a great bar
-
Prices are as expected but catching up with an old friend at Christmas it was perfect
-
Indigo is the absolute best option for the discerning gluten free eater
-
His father is gluten intolerant
-
The service was attentive but not overbearing
-
The food was delicious and the ambience was really beautiful
