Hong Kong City (New Cross)

• Hong Kong City is a Chinese restaurant in New Cross
• The food is great and there deserts are really nice
• The manager served me once and he was really cocky and patronising
• Their desserts are really nice
• I would recommend for desert to have the pineapple ice cream which is served in a pineapple
• I have been there twice and for two people you are looking at spending between £
• I think the only good thing about Hong Kong city is how convenient it is
• The price for the food is kinda expensive and the food is not great depending when you go
• The staff there is okay but it's the boss
• I don't think the boss understand the fact that customers come first all he does is shout "
• ) I hope Hong Kong city gets better maybe when they get a new boss because the staff there are mostly good
• The short boss was so rude to me it was unbelievable
• So disappointed with my new year lunch
• The short manager was shouting at me in front of all the customers
• We asked for a table for 5 with a hand gesture for 5 people and were led to a relatively bigger table after a brief discussion between 2 waiters of which table to offer us
• The restaurant was busy but not packed
• One of the initial waiters came over and asked if we were expecting more people
• T have asked for a bigger table when they are running out of big tables
• T request at all but was given the table by him and another waiter
• He came back and said rudely again that they are running out of big tables
• Ve sat there now and we are just causing inconvenience as they are running out of big tables
• I explained to him it has nothing to do with race but he was really rude and should have handled the situation better
• T have an issue with us now so why should we want to leave
• He then started screaming and shouting at his manager saying it was his fault and he should be the one to apologize etc
• It got so bad that the whole restaurant was looking at him and his manager arguing and he was still screaming at the top of his lungs when his fellow staff pushed him into the kitchen
• They have lost a long time customer and I will also be sharing my experience with my friends
