The Good Life Eatery (South Kensington)

• Cakes and the inside is very LA cool (or what I imagine to be LA cool
• The tabletops and benches are made from reclaimed scaffolding
• Such as avocado chili toast and sweet potato with dukkah dip
• Is clearly fulfilling a gap in the market as it was heaving throughout my hour long lunch
• Take note and pack your best quinoa jokes
• The latte was made with almond milk
• Small portions of quinoa with red kidney beans and kale
• Pickled carrots and wakame with ginger soy dressing
• I have had enough unripe avocado (Pure Goodge Street I am looking at you) to appreciate it when it is perfectly ripe
• Their range of cold pressed juices was very impressive
• I went back this weekend and had their skinny eggs Benedict which were wonderful &ndash
• Their coconut cake was also excellent)
• The chocolate is vegan so they are actually dairy free
• As the sunshine was pouring from the sky
• I think the Central Hall in the Romanesque Waterhouse Building is one of the nicest spaces in London (alongside the British Museum&rsquo
• The Good Life Eatery is conveniently placed right in between the Saatchi Gallery and the V&
• Counting The Good Life Eatery is the first of its kind in this particular area I give them (and their absolutely lovely stuff) a solid 4
• Don't forget we are in South Ken
• So the glamour and vanity is of course still there
• My favourite was the Raw Rainbow Pad Thai and Goodness bowl
• Very happy with my experience here and would definitely recommend to anyone
• Everything was light and healthy
• The salads were all packed with flavour and the prawns in particular were fantastic
• I had a berry smoothie as well which was jam packed with fruity goodness
• I would have rated the cafe a 4 had it not been for the dirty teaspoon that was served with my friends coffee
• The dishes I went for were very simple
• The dominating flavour is definitely berries and almonds
• The list of super food smoothies is quite long so you&rsquo
• Because all cold press juices are good &ndash
• Then we kicked off with our breakfast

• The toast with the poached egg and salmon was another delicious choice&hellip
• Everything was excellent on this plate
• We were also quite keen on trying the cakes that were displayed in the window&hellip
• Freshness and high quality of ingredients is what characterises The Good Life Eatery
• Let me summarise my experience of the GLE with the conversation I had with the gentlemen (gentle used in the loosest context) serving me at the till
• I once had a client who told me that thinking it's ok to eat blackened avocado is more barbaric than eating without a knife and fork
• Was just how jam packed it was (how The Good Life Eatery (South Kensington) is so popular I do not know
• All baked treats are undeniably good and most boast either being GF or dairy free
• The peanut butter cups are also great
• Overall portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced when it comes to salads but the added protein portions are really small
• Except finding gluten free pancakes is akin with finding that pot of gold that apparently exists at the end of every rainbow
• Once the table was claimed by putting our iPhone&rsquo
• These seats are ours&rsquo
• The other day I was in the grocery store and there was only sweetened almond milk on the shelf
• We both devoured our plates with not a crumb left
• So our options were pretty open
• D been dying to go to The Good Life Eatery for a while but heard there were lines and I couldn&rsquo
• T be bothered to fight a yummy mummy after her yoga class with an insatiable need to get her chia seed on
• As an indecisive soul I was stuck for what to order
• They do a mixed bowl with loads of tasters from other dishes (falafel
• Courgetti etc) so this was perfect for me and everything was so good and tasty
• What's great is for people who aren't quite so adventurous they also do really good sandwiches so you can drag anyone along
• The goodness bowl (thats a mix of all their salads) is amazing and to finish have a piece of the most marvelous red velvet piece cake free of gluten
• The flat white was terribly strong
• The Good Life Eatery was the best place to re nourish our bodies after a few too many large glasses of wine and to clear our conscience too
• The night ended with a little trip to a chicken shop&hellip
• Healthy eating joints are popping up all over London as the health and wellness industry continues to boom
• Ive been going on a healthy salad hunt in London and I was craving a nice healthy juicy one
• The good life salad was really good
• We sampled the egg white frittata with a basil pesto
• The hollandaise was almost foamy
• The eggs were sitting on a whole grain slice of bread which was dense and oozed with nutrition
• The coffee here was excellent robust full bodied with a back ground citrus note
• There is also a big focus on raw foods and super smoothies which are a perfect pick me up energy booster for tough mornings
• I chose the brown rice warm bowl with baked falafels
• Kale and rataouille with a basil pesto
• The staff are usually very friendly but yesterday the man who took my order was so rude and unpleasant that I had to leave a review
• It turned out he was the manager/supervisor (red t shirt)
• When your manager is the rudest
• Something is seriously wrong with your restaurant
