  • Dark and cozy with couches and other areas lined with faux cowhide

  • Re not trying to compete with the traditional British afternoon teas

  • T inform me was that they would also be serving two other things that I fell in love with in Argentina &ndash

  • To start with we were served Veuve Clicque Rose champagne which was continually topped up throughout the afternoon

  • One croissant each filled with dulce de leche

  • We then had a brief break between courses and were served one of the most incredible things I have ever had in a restaurant &ndash

  • We were only meant to have a few spoonfuls of this stuff but every time the waitress came to clear it away I was holding onto it for dear life

  • A week later I was still thinking about it and telling everyone I know &ndash

  • I think it was the most perfect frozen thing I have ever had in my life

  • It was paired well with the Veuve Rose

  • On the stand were the following

  • Brioche topped with beef carpaccio and chimichurri (beautiful

  • Chocolate tartlet with cream and berries

  • Lime jelly with mango and passionfruit

  • I started with blood orange which was outstanding

  • Followed it with Yerba Mate &ndash

  • Nearest tube station is Piccadilly Circus

  • Gaucho's steaks are usually juicy and delicious but yesterday they were rubbery and not very enjoyable

  • Sides were good and our waiter was very friendly and helpful

  • It was an Ok dinner but it was topped off with the receptionist/cloakroom lady that managed to drop all our cloaks and wasn't even courteous about it nor was she apologetic

  • This restaurant is not ideal to begin with

  • Here most of the meat is bigger than your head and the different pieces of beef are amazingly cooked by the chef

  • By drinking their amazing homemade mojitos and reward your brave man with a beautiful piece of meat

  • This elegant restaurant is the perfect place for a meeting or a date night where the original and chic atmosphere will impress all your friends

  • The other ones are nice as well

  • The cuisine in the restaurant is Argentinian and I can recommend to order as a main meal the Pork Matambre

  • The service I recieve there were more than marvelous and I also really liked the atmosphere inside very cozy and comfortable with all the leather couches inside

  • They haven't sacrificed the quality of their food or service and it is still one of the best places to eat steak in the city

  • Their dishes including the small ceviche appetizers are quite expensive

  • If you are not a steak connoisseur their menu can be a bit overwhelming because the names of the steaks and styles are in Spanish

  • The waiters expect this and they come to your table with a selection of the steaks and explain the differences between them giving some pretty good recommendations on how each one can be served

  • The service is really great

  • Even though the restaurant is quite big and it is usually quite full

  • The service is quite quick and professional

  • Large chandeliers hand from the ceiling and chairs and walls are fitted with real cowhide

  • After perusing the menu one of the chefs brings over a wooden platter with all of the available steak cuts

  • Nevertheless I think the food and the experience are definitely worth it

  • Gaucho provides its customers with a steakhouse experience like never before

  • The tables are mostly booths lined with leather seats and chairs upholstered by cow print fabric

  • The ceilings are adorned by flamboyant chandeliers

  • The service is American style with personable waiters who talk you through the menu

  • A platter of the different types of steak on offer are brought to your table to help you choose to match your taste

  • I had the rib eye steak which was unsurprisingly of great quality and well cooked

  • Obviously gaucho is renowned for this so I don't feel like this review can really do the menu that much justice

  • I'm happy to say they were perfectly crispy and fluffy

  • Iv definitely had better roasts and wouldn't say it was anything to write home about

  • Pan Fried provoleta cheese was really good and the chorizo sausage as well

  • I had a Rib Eye well done marinated with a delicious garlic sauce

  • A chain you cannot complain the decor is clean and bespoke the service is attentive but not over powering and the food is cooked to how you like it which when you do steak is a must

  • I'm a big steak fan and I like it blue ( still screaming is fine too ) and I'm annoyed when it is not cooked to my liking but they hit the nail on the head

  • Particularly the vibe is a bit more chic than others

  • Except sometimes the bartenders get all snappy with each other

  • Not particularly a good thing with punters by the bar

  • One of if not the best steak joint in London

  • The meats are lean and the steak to go for is defiantly the churrasco steak which is marinated

  • You come out with a smile or literally they don't let you go'

  • Either by great food great service or if something is not at your standard

  • I always leave with a smile and thats why its on my top 10 restaurants in london

  • I can't say enough how much I love Gaucho - Piccadilly (Mayfair)❤️ it has the nicest interior and exterior with futuristic prints and mirrors

  • The quality of the meat is indeed on point

  • The truffles were heavenly and there is no exaggeration in this word)) That being said our waiter was extremely nice

  • One of the best restaurants I have been too

  • There were the best in London so far as this restaurant serves Argentinaian cuisine which is famous for grills

  • We are from the States so maybe it was a lost in translation thing

  • The decor is not much to my taste but that is personal preference

  • The classic black and white decor still looks good and the restaurant is busy with people

  • I ordered the spatchcock chicken which was nice although it was slightly dry and could have had more flavour

  • The waiter came back to take our order 20 mins after leaving us with the menus by which time we had lost our appetites

  • The steaks are really good

  • One of the best steakhouses in London

  • The new bread bowl contained half eaten cheese bread ball that was wet and had teeth marks

  • Then the dessert spoons were dirty snd the waitress tried to wipe with a napkin

  • Then I came home to see I was charged extra
