Fat Papaya (Wembley)

• I visited Fat Papaya with my children after it was featured on the TV programme 'The Place To Eat' the previous week and was really looking forward to the experience given the feature
• We ordered the meat platter along with aloo papdi chaat for starters
• The menu states that the meat platter is ideal for 2 sharing
• I queried this with the waiters and was advised that it was recommended for 2 to share
• The second piece arrived a few minutes later and I started eating it and after a few mouthfuls realised that the chicken was undercooked and still pink on the inside
• I also brought this to the attention of the chef as he walked through the restaurant and whilst he apologised his response was that they needed to get it right
• No complaints with the mains and the dessert (Panna Cotta) which was featured on the TV programme
• I requested the bill and to my amazement I was being charged for the meat platter
• Just because of the raw chicken and the way it was handled I am giving the restaurant a 1 rating
• Went here on a Saturday with a group of friends
• The ambience and set up is just adequate for a restaurant in Wembley
• We ordered panni puri (both virgin and with gin) and they tasted pretty authentic
• The best among the lot was the chole with naan bread combo
• Both of them were perfectly spiced to the right level
• The star of the night was the brilliant lassis we had served beautifully in a copper tumbler
• The prices are very reasonable too
• The mutton Mysore is a must try
