  • Discount suit company is charming and manages to be a cozy place whilst at the same time being incredibly edgy and vibrant

  • This is pretty much the perfect place to go for a few cocktails with a small group infinitely better than many of the utterly dire city bars

  • The cocktails aren't the cheapest but they are some of the best I have ever tasted

  • All flavours are delicately balanced and our whole group left wildly impressed

  • Discount Suit Company (Aldgate) is another basement bar serving cocktails speakeasy stylee

  • The feeling is cosy and comfortable

  • The lighting is low (annoyingly so if you&rsquo

  • Cor borrows heavily from the theme of a clothes shop with the bar made of drawers that you can imagine once held material to be tailored

  • T sitting at the bar we had to rely on one of the staff regularly checking on us to be sure our drinks were replenished and our guy was pretty good at keeping on top of that

  • Discount Suit Co was the victor on this occasion

  • Both of us having chosen drinks with fortified wine in them (mine sherry

  • We then had a quick second which were equally as tasteful

  • Prices here were pretty good &ndash

  • No surprise that this is where Alan Sugar first sweetened his business tooth

  • Now in their place are a few tailor made cocktails

  • Sure not a true cocktail but it was some damn fine whisky

  • Discount Suit Company (Aldgate) is very cozy and comfortable

  • It is surely the spot where to go with a small group of friends and enjoy your time for a few drinks

  • Their cocktails are quite pricey

  • The flavours are distinctive

  • The exposed brick work was deliciously unpretentious and anywhere trying to use it to look edgy should take a leaf (or entire chapter) out of this bars book

  • Hat and bag were our favourites

  • Quickly decided that ordering everything was probably the best shout

  • Mainly because I was intrigued by the velvet falernum

  • While our lovely barman was concocting the Flor de Cana

  • A drop of debauchery swirled together with a dash of charm

  • I don't know if it was the low ceilings (never an issue for me and my 5ft1"

  • We strayed away slightly from the menu when it was decided that I had to taste what our waitress referred to as 'gin and juice'

  • Elderflower and apple along with cucumber and gin work to make the most refreshing cocktail I have ever experienced

  • We had got there early and so it was quiet (it got busier

  • Chose the Zizi Jeanmaire which was apparently created by one of their barmen

  • Our orders were taken from us at

  • A really simple little cocktail bar that is so utterly invisible

  • Inside the staff are relaxed and warm

  • I ended up having a lengthy conversation with the bartender from Huddersfield on the history of the place (the bar not Huddersfield)

  • The cocktails are delicious and a bit cheeky

  • I visited on Thursday and the tables were all booked from 6pm so plan ahead if its not a quick stop off

  • Great find this little cocktail bar which is hidden in a random house's basement

  • Thought the cocktails were great and they also serve some bar nibbles

  • Since one of the things I really like about it is that it's still secret enough that you have a reasonable chance of grabbing a seat (unlike similarly brilliant but high demand cocktail bars)

  • The location is great near all the trendy spots in the East End

  • Stylish but not overthought (pictures are totally representative)

  • The entrance and name is just dodgy enough to make it fun to visit

  • Discount Suit Company is another brilliant find in East London between Liverpool Street and Aldgate East

  • Down the stairs in the basement lies an atmospheric speakeasy that is not expensive or pretentious like some can be

  • The bartenders are friendly and helpful and there are a number of tasty looking cocktails to choose from

  • I first thought that it is a cool spot but could probably only stay few minutes

  • Turns out that it is lots of fun and you would stay quite long sipping on nice cocktails and dancing to swing tunes

  • They usually will find you a seat at the bar if they are full and its a real hidden gem
