Del'Aziz (Bermondsey)

• We didn't realise that they are also a restaurant
• Showed us to what was the passageway toward the whole restaurant section
• The sausages and the bacon were superb I mean
• Name something that has pork or bacon in it and is fried that wouldn't taste good
• Bread along with the beans completed the picture
• The menu is comprehensive and is especially strong at breakfast and brunch
• At dinner the menu is very broad and the food is well prepared
• A particular favourite here is the Turkish coffee
• The dining room is attractice and modern in feel
• Del'Aziz is not overly expensive and at its best for an easy weekend morning meal
• Not only do they stare at you with blank gormless eyes
• This is a 5second walk from the door to the right through a wide passage where you are greeted to sumptuous decor
• I should have took note that 4 tables of couples was deemed 'busy' and find my own table
• 4.50 This was the most driest hummus I have ever eaten
• Sunning itself on the side as the hummus was actually stiff
• Morroccan Lamb Shish with Basmati Rice with saffron £
• 14.50 Fillet of marsh lamb rubbed with cumin &
• I want to tell you it was glorious after the effort it was to remove the shish from the skewer
• Unfortunately the lamb shish was dry due to the fact that it was overcooked
• The basmati rice was also lacking in any appearance of saffon
• Persian 'Koobideh' Lamb with Basmati Rice with Saffron £
• Onions served with grilled tomatoes and finished with sumac
• I've been spoilt with the Fulham branch of Del Aziz as that branch is so outrageously good
• In comparison the standard at the Bermondsey branch was simply shocking
• A quiet restaurant + bad service + mediocre food is inexcusable
• It was sad 2 hour wait until I was hungry again
• The restaurant is surprisingly empty
• The fairly standard Breakfast menu has a light touch mediterranean twist the full breakfast comes with cannellini beans
• The full breakfast is hearty fare and neither Dad nor Sis is able to finish
• I was initially surprised to find no condiments of syrup were on offer but after that first bite
• It was a good day and the food was prompt and hot
• Very Unique place with a lovely layout
• The cocktail menu is vast and it is clear a lot of effort goes into making them
• Slightly medicinal with a sprig of lemongrass
• A creamy milkshake with creme de cacao and (sadly) frangelico
• Thankfully there were enough other lovely flavours to distract me (plus I was taking swings of 2 really nice Bloody Mary's that my friends were having)
• I thought it was the right occasion to do it and so I took them there
• Even the food was not that nice
• Because the cocktails are very much watered down
• All the portions are generous and the plates are delivered in a timely fashion by a team of efficient waiters
