Chennai Dosa (East Ham)

• The unlimited breakfasts they have on weekends are value for money
• The best branch i came across was the birmingham one
• The East Ham restaurant was clean and tidy if a little cramped
• The service was adequate and fast
• If anything Chennai Dosa is a perfect fast food Indian
• Good dosa's and they also offer non vegetarian food which is a bonus in comparison to Sarvanaa Bhavan that is also down the road
• The highlight of Chennai Dosa (East Ham) is the 5 foot family dosa that I shared with a couple of other friends and it was soooper fun to do (see the smile on my face
• The gigantic dosa was the highlight
• I tried the veggie buffet once and was disappointed as the food was cold and felt like it lay there since a long long time
• The meat curry was nice anyway
• Chennai Dosa (East Ham) is good for the price you pay
• Frankly I am not a big fan of Saravana Bhavan here as the sambhar is not even close to the one you get in chennai
• Saravana Bhavan is always crowded and thus this made me look for the other good dosa joints in East Ham
• My favourite is the Green chilli and Coriander dosa

• I would recommend people to try only their south indian appetizers as they are very nice but the others are the usual indo chinese that you will find
• Visited Chennai Dosa (East Ham) as I was running out of time one night and craving for Indian food
• Gladly I found a good South Indian restaurant with some additions of Indian Chinese and a few North Indian Items
• The 5 foot long dosa seems to be a hit with the Indian communities there in London and is a novelty anyways as we don't get to see much of that in Mumbai
• I would say the food is way better than the Bangladeshi owned Indian restaurants in London which should be avoided at all costs which comes with highly questionable authenticity
• The food could do with less cooking oil
• Not too good in taste but the staff are very friendly people
• Me and my friend ordered dosas and they were extremely delicious and appetizing

• They overcharged us claiming that new menus are to arrive by next week
• My experience of dining at this restaurant was not that good

• The food when served was also lukewarm and not hot enough
• The entire culinary experience was ruined by the temperature of the food
• I'm a big fan of South Indian food and you guys provided us with some good authentic South Indian food which was quite tasty too
• According to me rest is not that great
• I was here very recently and the quality of food and service is still as impressive as before
• The layout is basic like a canteen
• The prices are reasonable and the food tastes amazing

• This restaurant has multiple branches but the one that I tried was disappointing
• The buffet that they offer on weekends are as good as decent (not outstanding) food is available at reasonable price
• As a general occurrence with the buffets
• Some items do run our pretty quickly but it is the refill of these items that takes a lot of time
• The ambience is poor as the place is filthy with dirty tables and food split on the floor and the place was over crowded and noisy
• It provides with a value for money also
• The Dosa varieties and the accompaniments are good and you may want to try out something different on each visit
• Wonderful food with same taste of South India
• Most important reason why I couldn't find it interesting was its excessive use of fennel
• Almost all the dishes were loaded with fennel
• Bt yes I wouldn't deny that it was probably a very popular choice amongst indians around East ham or Ilford for that matter
• Even after telling the waiter that we are full he still offered to give us more food which usually does not happen in a buffet
• Filter coffee is good but too strong
• Everything else is good with a reasonable price
• Service is on point staff are friendly and food is does so you can never go wrong
• The food i must say is very tasty

• We went on a Sunday Afternoon and were very disappointed to wait for an hour for 2 dishes
• I hope you please work on this as the food is really good
• When you miss fun of being home and all South Indian flavours then chennai dosa is the place for u

• I know idli are a steamed item and gherefore cooked to order is unrealistic
• Going by these I'd say they were cooked in the morning
• The accompanying sambar was at best edible

• With thick patches of unpleasantness combined with tasteless crispy patches
• The massla was also mixed texture
• Eating there up to three time per week and thinking the food is tasty and at a good price
• This in front of other costumers and with our total surprise as none of us smoke and we would never do it in the toilet of the restaurant where we eat so often anyway
• We explained those accusations were very serious and we wanted to know why we were accused of ng we never did and the waiter even mention him seeing us and our face recorded in a camera
• So we asked to see the records because they were clearly lying and to speak with the manager as the situation started to go behind his control he started to say that it doesn t matter and is all fine
• Thing to be mentioned we are practically the only not asian costumer i ever seen there and i connect the accusation to the that
• I hope the staff and whoever planned to bring such shame on us with no reason to be removed from their position as I ll never enter that door again
• We had been to couple of other branches in the past so thought of trying this one out and is few meters away fromp Eastham underground station
• I ordered Dosa and meduvada which was accompanied by coconut
• My hubby went for chicken 65 and poori masala and he liked the chicken starter but poori was way too oily and aloo masala was no way near to the original taste
• One of the serving guys were very helpful with local information but the other was very rude
• Buffet breakfast served with varieties of dosa
• I ordered onion Rawa Dosa salt was less and it was too dry to eat
• It's just that mysore masala dosa and pistachio kulfi were nice and allowed me to give 3 rating
• Best thing i like here is their buffet for 6 pounds
• The only thing which i dint like their mutton is not upto the mark but on the whole a good place with authentic south indian options
• Everything was nice and properly cooked
• Most of the menu items are economically priced compared to other restaurants in the region
