Cardamom Club (Tooting)

• I was able to see exactly what was going on in the noticeably spotless kitchen
• Staff were friendly and I was offered free poppadoms and mango chutney while I waited plenty of the local posh mags to read too
• Was large generous pieces of succulent breast with a rich sauce of fresh spinach I watched the chef throw in an extra handful of large leaves in the last few mins of cooking
• Pilau rice was flavoursome
• Tried the aloo gobi and a really delicious puffy garlic naan with a sprinkling of fresh green chilli (my special request)
• Instantly recognisable smell piqued my interest enough to check out their website and before I knew it I was eating curry that evening
• The delivery was punctual although the Jude's mini ice cream tub had turned into Haagen Dazs but as recompense I had two instead of one result
• The tandoori chicken starter was juicy and full of flavour
• The lamb Madura is the Cardamom Clubs lamb version of a tikka masala and it's a fine dish with an intense tomato sauce delivered with a kick of chilli and perfectly cooked lamb pieces
• Excellent food with excellent service too
