Went there a day before it was open and it was lovely
-
Firstly we stumbled upon it by mistake and the staff were super friendly and inviting
-
Inside the deco and vibe was like a 40s station
-
The first drink I had was a hot butter dark rum drink served in a flask while the second was a beetroot juice and rose liquor
-
I went to Cahoots to celebrate my birthday with some friends
-
The stairs leading down to the bar are those old wooden escalators banned since the Kings Cross fire in 1987
-
How she came to that conclusion when she was talking to him on the phone
-
Once down those stairs complete with tannoy announcements
-
All the staff here are in character from 1946 with back stories and everything
-
Oh and dressing up is encouraged but not vital
-
Air raid shelter chic with swing music beats and an actual replica of an old tube carriage
-
The cocktail menu is a staggering four A4 pages with 13 sections using ingredients such as OXO cubes and lemon curd with drinking vessels such as cans
-
This is a manly drink section so of course I was drawn to it like a shot
-
Section but I was mean and didn&rsquo
-
A super strong drink with Del Maguey Vida mezcal and Disaronno
-
This cocktail is made for sipping and as the huge ball of ice melts the drink&rsquo
-
Ade is obsessed with sours so he had the Cahooch sour (£
-
Drinks made with their homemade grog
-
Retro bar snacks such as crisp sandwiches and cheese and Spam toasted sandwiches are on the rations menu
-
T try these as we were full of Big Fernand burgers
-
The only disappointing thing were the toilets
-
The cocktail menu is extensive and unique
-
) and London was failing to cope
-
If last Wednesday is anything to go by
-
Ll probably end up with someone else&rsquo
-
Now as this is 1940&rsquo
-
Staff are very friendly and also play along with the theme which is great
-
Down right British events and Cahoots Squiffy Picnic is the best of the best when it comes to this
-
All the waitresses were dressed in 1950s and the music and ambience will remind you of how they socialise back in the days
-
Our booth can only accommodate 2 people and this is the only time I thank God for my height as it fits me perfectly
-
The lights were dim and we just have a candle and newspapers as menu
-
This tube inspired speakeasy is one of the coolest places I've been to in London
-
I finally got to come her after months of wanting to and it was as exciting as I expected
-
The girl at the front buzzes you in and you are led to your table by one of the waitresses in 50s style dresses
-
Especially compared to most cocktail bars where they are nothing special
-
Cahoots I must say was the very definition of a theme bar done right
-
We had already been drinking fairly heavily throughout the evening so were a bit squiffy when we finally rocked up to Cahoots at 11 and hoped there would be space for us
-
The whole experience is all very secretive
-
There is live music and the venue is interesting
-
You only get 2 hours and the price is ridiculous
-
I thought the entrance fee was money well spent for the expertise of our wonderful bartender
-
The menu has some nibbles to go long and unlimited servings of popcorn that is in the house
-
Cahoots is a place I take all my friends who are visiting london and you if haven't got around to it
-
To check your name and talk to you as if you were in the 1940s
-
Visiting Cahoots (Soho) is a great experience
-
The sweet potato chips that we snacked on were also delicious
-
If you want to hangout with your best buddies and want to make good memories
-
This beautiful landmark is the place to visit
-
The staff is lovely and completely over whelmed with their humbleness
-
I would recommend trying to book and try to get the carriage seat if you can as this is a themed 1940&rsquo
-
It is always busy with queues for walk ins but staff from the start are friendly and helpful
-
Dont expect a large menu for food however as there are only a handful of dishes
-
There is however a very large Alcoholic drinks menu with special drinks written on a 1940&rsquo
-
S style newspaper and all created for that era so very clever but they also have a small selection of mock tails and bar staff are well versed to make anything you wish as they are real mixologists
-
There is an NCP car park in Soho but this will be a little walk away and this is in Kingley court to the side just opposite the back entrance of Cinnamon Soho
-
Perfectly themed and done well with dull but adequate lighting
-
Large selection on offer with a few mock tails as well as bar staff being able to mix anything you desire
-
The drinks are also prepared in different ways and glasses so it is a real experience
-
I preferred the sausage rolls which were really meaty and tasted great
-
Or maybe this is me just getting old&hellip
-
Everyone who works there is a fun and the music makes you want to dance
