Bavarian Beerhouse (City of London)

• Celebrated my Birthday with a Group of friends and had a really good time
• This is the best of Munich that you could get in London
• They have a month long beer festival when they sell entry tickets for the seating below otherwise the seating is free and equally enjoyable
• Drinking beer in Steins is a whole lot fun
• Either they are perpetually high on their beer or their bank is taking them for a ride
• The Bavarian Beerhouse is a slice of Munich in London and it really is as close as you could wish to get
• You could spend an evening here and feel like you were back in the homeland of Strauss
• The seating is communal and all in all it makes for a fun night out
• As that place is much more abuzz with activity
• The only thing better than a German beer is another German beer
• My husband kept saying that the below song was playing in his head
• German beer is certainly one of the best and this is one of best places to get it
• God bless the ingenious soul who came up with the idea of bringing a Bavarian beer house to London
• My personal favorite is Erdinger (Premium Wheatbeer) and Lowenbrau
• The place does not pretend that it is about anything other than beer
• So no effort is made on the decor etc
• All you get is basic long table with narrow benches on either side to sit on
• The staff knows you are here to have fun so one can get away with almost anything
• Just don't break any of their steins as there is a hefty fine if you do so
• One of the best places in London to grab a pint with some awesome food
• The service is friendly and they even have huge screens for gamedays
• The first problem is their seating
• I find their bench style chairs slightly uncomfortable especially when there are a lot of people with you around the table
• This particular location is right in the middle of offices and corporate y buildings
• The result of this is that usually there are huge gangs of office goers who obviously let loose on the weekends
• Weekdays would be your best option if you are planning to have a quiet night and are not in the mood for meeting some Cavemen
• Because of the coiled sausage which is flanked by some more delicious looking ones
• This might be by far the best Sausage Platter you taste in London
• Mouthfuls of protein were some of the thoughts that occurred to me each time I bit into it
• Some awesome German beer and the relaxed atmosphere on weekdays are the best reasons for visiting Bavarian Beerhouse (City of London)
• On weekends visit here with some ear buds and friends
• That's because I was too busy sampling the German beer
• I feel another visit is due to sample the schnitzel
• Eating or drinking in a Bavarian Beerhouse is always an experience
• Eger Train' was at the Bavarian Beerhouse in Old Street and certainly if we're talking alcohol no complaints can be made
• The atmosphere is always fun and if you're a sociable person the long benches you sit on are good for making new friends
• I think German food is severely underrated and my personal recommendation if you ever visit one of these establishments is the 'Special Wurst Platter'
• Course one of my friends knows all the beer houses or beer festivals in London and this is one we ended up on a Thursday evening
• The beer selection is great but the food I would say it's average
• We tried the Sausage Berner style wrapped in bacon with potato salad
• The drinks I went for were the Erdinger Russ which was sweet and smooth and the the 'Cherry Kiss'
• Some guests were dancing to the Bavarian tunes
• I had a frikadel bun which is a bit like a burger and my friend had sausage and fries
• The place is on two floor the top floor is not very big so I can image the place getting packed pretty quickly
• Nurnberg bratwurst the best dish in my opinion
• The atmosphere was brilliant as it was the start of Oktoberfest
• I would like to change is the kitchen closing time
• The decor of the restaurant gave it a really nice atmosphere and the services was always fantastic
• All the food is delicious (the schnitzel is definitely my favourite but the sausages are also pretty great)
• The atmosphere in there is great especially when there's a match on and it gets pretty packed in the weekend
• If you go on a week night though it can be pretty dead so just take a big group of your friends with you and enjoy having the place almost entirely for yourselves
