The Angel Inn (Highgate)

• On the menu the roast pork dinner was described lavishly so we ordered two
• Was that the portion of pork was incredibly small and there was no crackling as promised on the menu
• When I queried this I was told 'we've run out of crackling'
• I had chargrilled smoked chicken wings with ginger ale ketchup and a side salad of watercress and parmesan
• Chicken wings with grill marks were lovely
• At first I thought pricing was a bit steep for 5 wings
• Each wing was complete with both a flat and drummette so it was actually a really good portion for £
• Care had been taken with the side salad
• My companion was less pleased with his order of vegetable croquettes
• One of the nicest pubs in Highgate village went here on a Sunday and it was a nice cosy atmosphere
