Hash E8 (Hackney)

• An English muffin with sausage patty
• The throw back to the 60s diner style fit out is quirky and although not exactly warm
• At the moment they only stay open until 5 but we were told they have plans to extend that and have their license all set up
• M often more than happy with my choice while his is underwhelming
• Meaning his plate was a little meagre
• We asked the waitress about this and she was duly mortified (especially as they&rsquo
• It was brought out just as I was peering under my egg to see if it was there)
• The only thing that I would have added to both dishes was some hot sauce
• My seat had colourful astro turf style upholstery but apart from water being served in milk bottles and a big slab with the special on it
• I think they may still be finding their feet but even with our little mishaps
• Anywhere that does brunch all day is A OK in my book
• The Pulled Pork Hash was deliciously greasy
• The accompanying crackling was very much welcomed
• The poached eggs were well done (no runny yolk)
• Unfortunately the interesting sounding umami dust was a let down
• The French Toast was pretty good
• The presentation is lacking at Hash E8
• The interior is simple and similar to most of the other places in Dalston shabby chic
• Ultimately my visit was very average
• Brunch is an amazing meal and is what weekends are made
• Of course brunch does come with its inherent risks
• That however is not an issue at Hash E8
• Sweet potato hash with black pudding and the Pig muffin to call company
• The Pig muffin in particular was an absolute beast
• You can take the Pig muffin to the next level with the Posh pig muffin of chorizo slice and crispy bacon with black pudding
• I'm not sure her heart was quite strong enough either
• Warm and welcoming with friendly staff and a unpretentious menu of quality
• I don't but it was well worth the hour journey
• They can't really help it that they are so popular particularly on weekends and it's a small space but in my opinion well worth the wait
• One of the best breakfasts in London
• The Staff are charming even though it's always rammed the food is very fresh and inspiring
• They really know how to kill those hangovers with one swoop of porky deliciousness
• Her Veggie brunch is a vegetarian take on the English breakfast
• That she did not let me try as she (abnormally) are without leaving a single crumb behind
• The show stopper for me is the chilli and chorizo jam
• My main criticism is that the music was a bit too loud
