  • I was in Edgware road and was having a very hard time deciding where to go so i decided to go to the first restaurant that i see

  • Also there lunch menu is a great value for money

  • The only not so good thing about the place is that it is not made up very well

  • They have outdoor seating with Shisha and its open till late in the evening

  • The restaurant is located not far from Marble Arch

  • You could see they were trying their best

  • Before we ordered we were taken olives and pickles

  • My friend really liked the rice with lentils so I think it's just personal taste

  • The meat was well cooked and tender it was served with salad

  • The service is correct and they always offer olives to start with and a few pieces of baklava to finish off for free

  • I miss more hot mezze made with plain chicken (instead of liver

  • Most of their dishes are very nice and always cooked to perfection

  • Their juices and smoothies are amazing too

  • I liked the muhamara and fatayer best since I just love Middle Eastern appetisers and am not really much of a meat person

  • All the food tasted fresh and didn't take too long to come out which was quite nice

  • A great night out in edgware road with friends and family

  • The Edgware Road is the Mecca of Middle Eastern food in London

  • Situated on a corner just up from Marble Arch it is one of the first restaurants you encounter coming off Oxford Street

  • Perhaps for this reason it seemed exceptionally busy when I lunched there the other day with my daughter

  • It's a cafe style eaterie with a fast turnover and plenty of noisy customers

  • The staff navigate around this busy space pretty efficiently and as my daughter commented the marble floors are immaculately clean

  • The fatayer is a tasty little pastry parcel of spinach

  • The falafel came with Lebanese bread

  • It's always best to tear up the bread and make little sarnies of falafel and dips I find

  • In this case they were fairly densely packed nuggets with a quite workmanlike tahini sauce

  • I had not eaten sawda dajaj before but was keen to get away from the usual staples of lamb and chicken shish and try something different

  • As the fried chicken livers cooked in lemon juice was one of the tastiest dishes I've had in ages

  • Fried with deeply carmelised chopped onion and some mild spices they were richly savoury

  • I would heartily recommend this even to those who are not offal fans it was great

  • Vibrant red Lebanese spiced lamb sausages grilled with tomato and garlic

  • Consists of a lightly battered Flaked cod served on cumin rice with tarator and fried onions

  • The tarator was not what I expected

  • My daughter's cocktail fruit smoothie was a thing of wonder with its bright swirl of colours perfect for a child while I went for the closest thing to a lassi

  • We finished it all off with some complimentary baklava

  • The staff at Al Balad were friendly and very helpful and I'd recommend Al Balad (Marble Arch) to anyone breaking up their Oxford Street shopping with a quick bite or who loves Lebanese cuisine

  • We had no idea what exactly was on the menu

  • We settled on 3 sides and one main and boy was it more than enough for the 3 of us

  • We ordered a hummous with chicken sharwama

  • The restaurant is fairly spacious and extremely clean

  • Not a fine dine restaurant and is usually very busy

  • That however does not stop it from providing its customers with tasty dishes

  • The portion size is medium but was big enough to fill me up

  • I had a chicken tikka with salad and hummus

  • They gave me free sides such as olives and chillies which I thought was extremely kind

  • Al Balad is a small restaurant and is always busy

  • I visited Al Balad (Marble Arch) during dinner and the service was absolutely horrible

  • I must say that the staff was very aggressive barring only one staff member who I found to be polite whereas the others were very rude

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) serves the best Lebanese food

  • The food here tastes great and is very authentic

  • The service here is exceptional and the staff is so very helpful

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) is a must visit

  • The reason why Al Balad (Marble Arch) is so amazing is the fact the food is impeccable

  • We went to this restaurant last week and were pretty glad with our choice

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) serves authentic Lebanese food and I must say that the hummus we tried was quite a delicious one

  • The service was also spot on and the staff was very friendly

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) is a place which will make me coming back for more

  • I am absolutely impressed with the level of brilliance I have tasted in the humus

  • It has to be the best thing they serve

  • The food in all here is amazing and very delicious

  • Even the desserts here are great and do not disappoint

  • The service too is exceptional

  • I decided to visit Al Balad (Marble Arch) after I was done shopping

  • The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was also quite good

  • The food was very delicious and the prices were also very reasonable

  • The shawarma rolls were very small were pretty average

  • The staff was a bit cold and the overall experience was a pretty average one

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) is brilliant in look and feel as well as the quality of food which is served to its customers

  • I would suggest that you go with an empty stomach so you can hog on to the tasty dishes they have to offer

  • I must say that I was very disappointed

  • The shisha at this restaurant is extremely clean and fresh

  • The servers are all extremely friendly and very courteous

  • We ordered kibbi for starters which was cold inside

  • They agreed to redo it but by the time it came we were almost on our main course

  • The hummus was your standard good but the bread was barely warm when served

  • The mixed grill I ordered was reasonably good and the minced kebab was tolerable

  • The chicken cubes were tasty but the lamb cubes were much better

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) offers London with a good option of tasty hummus and delicious fatoush as well

  • 5) and my friend ordered something off the breakfast menu (if I'm correct it was egg with sausages)

  • I must admit her food was better than even mine (perhaps cuz it was breakfast and it was sort of breakfast time more than lunchtime)

  • The only thing was how her cup was on the small size

  • The more crowded it was the harder it became to grab the waiters attention

  • Great food presentation of food as it seemed it was presented in a Lebanese style of way (although since I'm not Lebanese this is just a guess)

  • They also gave us nan as well as a sauce to eat with the falafel

  • They even put music on later as we were about to leave

  • The location is convenient as it's quite close to Marble Arch underground station

  • Eating at Albalad restaurant every week while I am on Oxford street is like a habit

  • Al Balad is by far the best Lebanese restaurant I have visited

  • I very regularly travel from Leeds to London and no trip is complete without going to see the team at Al Balad

  • It is without any doubt for me the best place in London for lebanese

  • Therefore I was vary of trying Al Balad but it did not disappoint

  • They also give unlimited free Arabic bread (khubz) with the hummus

  • The hummus Beiruti is hummus with coriander and green chilies mixed through

  • The hummus itself has good flavor and is creamy as it should be

  • The Falafels are also really good

  • You get 4 a plate and they are very big and filling

  • It could do with some more sauce as it felt a bit too dry

  • The Shish Taouk sandwich on the other hand is really good

  • It reminds me of the one I have back home and is filled generously with chicken and sauce

  • Al Balad (Marble Arch) is good for anyone wanting to try some good Lebanese food with proper portions

  • As a Muslim I was searching for Halal food in London so i resorted to Edgware Road and tried many restaurants

  • Al balad it is a good one and their food is good but the place is very small and all tables are beside each other so that one feels all people sit with each other

  • The exterior of the place seem like your normal kebab joint but there is a sit in restaurant

  • There were many Middle Eastern customers on a Monday night which is a sign of a good restaurant

  • It doesn't sound much though we were thoroughly satisfied and their meats and salad ratio was spot on

  • The meats in our dished were grilled and seasoned well

  • They barely served it with a few pieces of bread after almost fighting with them

  • They gave me a bell with extra costs like 'taxs

  • Ect' which are against the low for the sake of earning extra 'illegal' money

  • I am writing this review to let you guys pay more attention when dealing with those 'dishonest' Arab thieves

  • Homos and fattoush was very tasty

  • I recommend you to try their mix grill is absolutely nice

  • Awesome taste and best placed for eats in edgware

  • I believe it is the best middle eastern restaurant in London

  • Great food orders beef kabsa and mixed grills with Hamus side dish very tasty also good prices for a restaurant in london diffenitly will come again

  • Their mezza is delicious and so are the salads

  • After a very long had the best Lebanese food

  • I wish if they made fresh Khubus and served with the hummous
