Afters (Tooting)

• Wanted desert after visiting meat and shake and afters is right next door
• We went for the waffles with sauce and a scoop of ice cream
• The Sundays looked great but my rating is for the waffles
• The French waffle is huge and enough for two
• Looks a little plain with just sauce and a scoop
• Belgium waffle is a better size
• The desserts are just as delicious and offer a wide range to choose from to suit your mood
• Situated on the high street along with all the other restaurants which makes it easy to locate
• It's quite similar to kaspas and creams in what they have to offer but I must say that portion sizes are very much smaller with prices being higher which I feel doesn't make it value for money
• It's the only well known dessert parlour in Tooting which is why I tend to resort to it however I wouldn't really recommend Afters (Tooting) as I feel it's overpriced for the amount they serve
• I enjoy Afters as their menus are quite similar to Creams
• Though i do find their portions slightly smaller though prices are on par/higher than creams
• This particular branch is quite small
• There are limited tables so i felt quite cramped as the waiting area for tables are near the tables so you almost feel as if your sitting on top of other people
• The limited space also means you are sometimes waiting a while for a table
• Once we got a table i felt the staff were pleasant though their interest lay in serving us in order to get us out
• The service was rather slow and slightly chaotic with the stuff rushing back and forth
• The ambience is very similar to Creams
• Their colour scheme is black and pink which one could argue is similar to creams (purple and black)
• I tried the hot fudge cake with hot chocolate sauce and it was awesome
• For me the service was really slow and pretty erratic (my ice cream arrived 5 minutes before my middle brother's and the youngest's a further few minutes after
• The deserts themselves were tasty though nothing to write home about
• Banoffee and Cappuccino which were oddly all a very similar colour
• My brothers were happy enough with their sundaes though the timings pushed my rating down a bit more
• Having said that they did give us free desserts for making us wait so long and the desserts are pretty good with a huge variety
• Very friendly staff and it was empty just how I like it
• Customer service was great too I cannot complain
• Their Strawberry cream filled sponge cake was AMAZING and delicate
• The seating is rock'n'roll American diner style
• Sometimes all you want is dessert and if your pregnant and craving its a dream come true
• If you're really fussy about 'real' organic chocolate sustainably sourced and hormone/antibiotic free dairy this is not the place for you
