  • Firstly I loved Namak Mandi (Tooting) because the food was magnificent

  • Their lamb Karahi and chicken Karahi were mind blowing

  • The food in here is not too spicy but if you want to make your food spicy then they will for you

  • The thing I loved the best about Namak Mandi (Tooting) is their seating place on the first floor where you sit on the mattress with cushions

  • 1st they change chef and new chef is just cooking fried tomato sauce and fried chicken merge together there is no taste of karahi any more

  • Chapli kebab too much salty and Nan was like you can use it for hand fan

  • Spice Village has a special offering green Tea which is quite delicious as well

  • I would say the quantity of the food very good and it reminded me of the food that i had ate in the Namak Mandi which is in Peshawar

  • Namak Mandi is great for family dining or group dining options

  • I had a lovely meal with lovely service in a nice clean environment

  • Also it is HMC certified so if you are a Muslim then you don't need to be worrying about whether the meat is halal or not

  • Easily the best Pakistani/Indian dishes in Tooting

  • The chicken and lamb Karahi are amazingly good

  • They have a very small menu but everything is exceptional tasty and cooked perfectly

  • Only if they had a better restaurant that was more cozy and comfortable

  • It never ceases to amaze me what is crammed into some of the convenience stores in Tooting

  • Least not Namak Mandi which is found squashed between the oddly named Universal Store Pound Plus and Universal All In One Convenience Store

  • Just in front of which is a cushioned lounge area for the regulars

  • S female window dressers with a surprising sense of propriety

  • We were quickly handed colourful menus that were bordered with pictures of the food and a poster behind our table welcomed us with pictures of the Peshawar region

  • The other walls were similarly draped with homely

  • The real charm is to be found upstairs

  • We left aghast at having missed out on this opportunity and that it wasn't offered to us by the staff (we can only imagine that they were too lazy to take the food upstairs)

  • The smells wafting from the open kitchen and the unique menu are still enough to turn this unassuming little restaurant into one worth visiting&hellip

  • Our preference is a good mixed grill

  • This wasn't the only surprising lamb as there was a whole braised leg hidden in our epic portion of pilau

  • A dish whose physical depths were matched by it's deep

  • The solitary chef was welcoming as we came in

  • The other staff were less vocal

  • They did set our expectations and the food was fresh as a result

  • Everything in Namak Mandi (Tooting) is set up for sharing so

  • Like Soviets we were left defeated by the Afghans

  • Namak Mandi is a genuine alternative to other curries on the high street and with sharing sized portions

  • Cushioned lounge areas and great value for money this is a highly recommended

  • Meaning this praise is even offered sober

  • It could be very busy on weekends but the service is always very good

  • The food is excellent and perhaps the best value for money

  • Kabli pulao is delicious as well

  • I think namak mandi has the best karahi in town

  • I don't really know how to start this review because the food thy I had at namak mandi was just awesome

  • The upstairs seating was so comfortable and relaxing as it had cushions and mattresses

  • I came with my family and we sat in the private room upstairs so there is no noise to disturb to us

  • I was absolutely speechless when I started eating the food as the food was sooo delicious

  • I would definitely visit Namak Mandi (Tooting) again as my experience of namak mandi was absolutely brilliant

  • The upstairs seating was so comfortable

  • Overall a very good place to eat at with your friends and family

  • Namak mandi has the best lamb karahi which I have ever tasted

  • The service is very friendly and really good value

  • I been there with my family on 05/10/2014 for dinner

  • Namak Mandi is definitely a hidden gem

  • Because she said the food was really good

  • S not your average restaurant because the seating area is upstairs where there are dining sections divided by curtains

  • Cor theme and mattresses are set out on all fours of the closed seating section because you sit on the floor to eat

  • The freshly made Afghani bread was my favorite

  • There was always someone outside willing to help and staff were very friendly

  • As the food was delicious and prices were decent

  • Namak mandi is truly a hidden gem

  • One was the chef and the other one was serving us but inspite of that there was no delay or no mismanagement

  • If you are looking out for good homemade fresh and clean Peshawari Afghani food then this is THE place to visit

  • Freshness and hygiene is a guarantee

  • Our latest outing is what CURRYBOND is all about

  • We therefore approach our venue with mild trepidation and cautious optimism in equal measure

  • We press on with our ordering and get stuck into the menu on offer

  • The curry however is very tasty

  • The Karahi come in proper steel dishes the chicken is served for two and is well spiced with tender pieces

  • The Tikka Masala is quite sweet

  • We get two metal stands with giant naan breads hanging off which I expected to pipe up ala Mighty Boosh

  • So generally we're pretty happy with our limited curry selection

  • For a hardened curry veteran this is certainly worth a visit

  • Though the chicken equivalent is a bit bland

  • Highly recommend the mixed grill and the chapli kebabs are outstanding

  • The afghani naan is huge and delicious when fresh but gets a little hard by the time you get home for a takeaway

  • Boneless peshawari karahi Chappali kabab and afghani Palao with tremendously simple but cosy presentation
