The Ship on the Shore (Leith)

• Seafood and fish are ubiquitous
• The Ship on the Shore is a nice brasserie style located on the Water of Leith
• The area around The Shore in Leith is magical and a jewel in the crown is The Ship on the Shore
• Its one of the best restaurants to go for seafood and you'll be in awe at the sight of their seafood platters
• The scallops were succulent and soft and melted in your mouth like butter
• The abundant seafood platter was filled with lobster
• Two gripes why is all the seafood on the seafood platter served cold
• There are some seafood that is best served warm/hot and you need to make sure the mussels are cleaned well a wee bit gritty
• The champagne was flowing and the seafood got demolished
• The fish and chips is a mammoth but tasty dish
• The surf and turf sandwich is my favourite 'go to dish' but last time I was really let down
• The sandwich was so packed full of lettuce and tomato that I had to deconstruct the already pretty messy sandwich and try and piece it back together
• Lost it's sparkle a bit recently hoping my sandwich is back to it's usual high standard next time
• The fresh seafood was cooked perfectly and was incredibly filling
• I opted for moules and was not disappointed
