  • It's probably best to avoid Oink though as they have such a limited menu that they hardly have any vegetarian options that would make a good lunch

  • Leaving a person with a strong yearning for the glorious meat

  • Just as well they have assiduous staff who cope remarkably well when faced with a deluge of pork craving loons desperate to taste a flake of the meat

  • The prices are a bit steep

  • Especially for what is a one course lunch

  • The quality of food is of a high level

  • Everyone that goes here does not leave with a bad word to say against Oink

  • Chilli relish or haggis and topped with crispy crackling)

  • I got the adult portion and it was too big for me

  • I didn't get any crackling so feel disappointed about that but that was an after feeling as i was unawares i was meant to get it so at the time of eating I was so happy with the soft bread

  • I am not a massive fun of pulled pork buns but when I had some friends visiting and one of them really felt like having one of their sandwiches I must admit I was happily surprised

  • Perfect to eat on the go if you are around the area

  • The tastiest that I love the most is the crunchy part of the pork skin

  • A nice soft brown roll filled with juicy pork meat

  • Crunchy pork skin and then sweet apple sauce is just delicious

  • The reason I came in here is because I was starved and it was the only restaurant around that I had read about on Zomato and had good reviews

  • All I have to say is that ever since

  • Here you'll get the most hearty filling roast pork bun with only a touch of dressing and sauces

  • A more manageable Oink size bun can be down with relative comfort

  • Oink on Victoria Street is a hole in the wall with no decor

  • If you love pulled pork and you are looking for a quick bite

  • The pork itself is very succulent and extremely tasty

  • The prices here are great for the portion size

  • Make sure Oink is the place you head to for your pulled pork fix

  • First time at Oink and I was very impressed

  • The meat is tender and juicy and the apple relish that I got was very tasty

  • I heard Oink (Old Town) is great but I was really surprised with the quality of meat

  • The meat itself was just wonderful

  • There is a larger option available but personally 'The Oink' was big enough for me

  • On buzzfeed recommendation was listed on my food diary for a certain try and it definitely did not disappoint

  • This small joint is located on the royal mile and certainly well sign posted

  • They serve of the best hog roasts with a variety of toppings

  • The crackling is excellent and there is a good choice of drinks too

  • Not even for the faint of heart who will not like to see the what they are about to eat in totality

  • Simply put there is a whole pig roasted or cooked in front of you on the display whIle they prepare sandwiches out of it

  • As for me this was the thing which attracted me

  • The shredded meat sandwich they make from it is also fabulous

  • I had the pork with haggis and BBQ sauce

  • I had the pig roast on brown bread with haggis and chilli

  • The crackling was just to die

  • Only wished there was a less messy way to eat it

  • Had a small bun with hot sauce and mayo

  • You can choose between lots of options which is great I went for the pork hoagie with apple sauce

  • The long and short of oink is that it's a pig roast

  • The amount they serve is limited to what appears to be 1 pig/day

  • If you're like me and enjoy feeling like a carnivore and eating a meaty sandwich that is customizable by many different choices in sauces

  • The pork is melt in your mouth moist and the flavours are definitely there albeit subtle

  • The portion was large and the taste was delicious

  • Hidden gem and best pork roasted ever that we found in edinburgh

  • Really love the pork roasted is so juicy and the best ever taste

  • My sandwich was very good too

  • The combination was tastey and the meat was soft

  • The display board outside the restaurant is also not clear because of which it took us time to find the place

  • The only disappointing part was that there are very few seats to sit and enjoy the food

  • Walking through Edinburgh just made me feel like I was in a huge castle with Gothic buildings everywhere and just an entire feeling of grandeur &ndash

  • So one of our friends in Edinburgh recommended Oink (Old Town) and so it was the first stop we made after our 2.5 hour train ride from York (on the way from London)

  • We had the piglet with sage and onion and apple sauce

  • S very rare to enter an establishment and be greeted with smiles by all the staff

  • Version but was still big enough to feed me

  • Their food is out of this world

  • I ordered the Oink with Brown bread and BBQ sauce

  • My partner was eying to visit this joint as soon as we landed in Edinburgh

  • It's a small joint with few tables to seat
