  • I remember when this first opened few years ago and it was where everyone wanted to come

  • I went back yesterday with my friend Ben and Sultana Malik as usual haha to enjoy that same experience again

  • The restaurant itself is good however the service not so great

  • There was hardly interaction with us not even proper eye contact

  • I'm not sure if the guy was having a bad day or not

  • We went for the specials 10.45 for 2 course or 3 for 12.45 which is pretty good

  • Tagged along with Tee Miah and Ben as they went for a late lunch and I wanted desert (of course) went to presto next door a few times but never here

  • I was pretty impressed to hear this as it was a Saturday but I now know why

  • The guys portions were really small

  • The waiter was not very approachable

  • I wasn't ordering food but if I was it wasn't very easy to do so

  • The desert was definitely not fresh chocolate fondant

  • It was just cake with no soft gooey insides

  • Only points is for the ice cream

  • Everything is sustainable and catch methods listed

  • It's a beautiful location with a reliable supply of seafood

  • Our experience started with a very unwelcoming welcome

  • We were asked if we booked but there were only 10 people in the restaurant and we felt as if we wouldn't be able to get a table

  • It took 15 minutes before our order was taken and 30 until we saw food

  • We were starving and the close proximity to the bread was all too tempting

  • Sadly it seemed this was an added extra

  • The mussels didn't have much flavour and the sauce was a little bitter

  • The burger and smoked haddock continued with the run of the mill theme

  • Neither were very exciting but we were hungry enough to be satisfied

  • Three of the adults were driving so no alcohol for them

  • The restaurant was not that busy the service was extremely poor 20 minutes for a waitress to approach us

  • The Poached Haddock was a very small portion for an adult

  • We all laughed but in reality she was correct it looked bland the batter was so soft and tasted horrible

  • Like the fish were a pale brown color and tasted the same as the batter horrible

  • Youngest child was 7 years old she wanted a chicken wrap

  • After a few more drinks it was time for desert which by this time some of us had given up on the food

  • On top of that the food was not up to a standard you would expect from a restaurant like Loch Fyne

  • Moral of this story is we wont be back

  • The waiter was kind and chatty

  • There was a mix up with our booking (ten of us) and the manager not only apologised profusely but did her best to accommodate all of us

  • T fancy driving two hours to Loch Fyne this is the next best thing

  • With the harbour right there and the smell of fresh fish in the air seafood was definitely on the agenda

  • The restaurant is beautiful and airy and very inviting

  • Our servers was friendly and helpful and really did a great job

  • We ordered the crispy chilli calamari to share as a starter and they were really good

  • Only thing that was missing was the seasoning and the actual chilli flavour

  • I ordered the mussels main with fresh bread and chips and my friend ordered the Angus beef burger

  • The portion of mussels was way more than expected and was quite shocked to see how many were in the pot

  • The mussels were plump and sweet and the white wine sauce was really flavourful

  • My friends burger was just as delicious and she really enjoyed it

  • The seafood was some of the freshest I've ever tasted
