  • Te lunch menu is incredible value for money £

  • Last night's dinner was as good as any and a very welcome treat on such a miserable evening

  • Gracious enough to share my scallops with black pudding this was very generous considering how beautifully cooked they were

  • I have to confess I was dubious about

  • I turned out my misgivings were totally unfounded and the haggis was a fantastic accompaniment to the delicious

  • I plumbed for the trout with lemon and thyme pearl barley

  • The surprise of the dish was how absolutely wonderful the creamy rich pearl barley was

  • The service was as friendly as ever and our only criticism would be that they waiter failed to give us clean glasses when we ordered an additional bottle of wine not a major disaster

  • My boyfriend's grandparents were in Edinburgh for the Royal Highland Show last week

  • Knowing that they are seafood fans we decided to give Fishers a try as we had heard a lot of good things about it

  • The side of bread was also very tasty

  • I decided to order the lemon sole but Sam's fish and chips were also very good

  • The waiter had a great attitude and was very funny

  • The prices are quite high

  • I came for a casual dinner with my mum and my sister on a saturday night

  • Sister chose main of beautifully cooked scallops accompanied by a homemade pesto so delicious that extra bread was ordered so not a drop was wasted

  • Mother and I shared the lemon sole on recommendation from the waiter that today's catch was 'huge' and more than enough for one

  • It was a good size portion but came with no bread for dipping

  • Unfortunately the (one) waitress was busy with the other tables (it was very busy) so I wasn't able to request any bread

  • The 'medium/rare' rump steak was more medium/well done and as a result was very chewy &

  • Being honest the only reason I am scoring a 2.5 is because my food was nice

  • The waitress was lovely as much as she was being pulled in 20 different directions and because of the wine

  • When it comes to seafood restaurants in Edinburgh there is only one that has won my heart and that is Fishers

  • Squid and Chorizo to start followed by a whole Sea bream with rocket and pancetta before finishing with the ultimate pudding of sticky toffee pudding with ice cream

  • Each course was equally delicious and beautifully presented

  • The setting feels homely and the decor with the books and the letter fish was interesting

  • Even for my budget and the only other thing i didn't like is the Polish waitress

  • The orkney scallops with langoustines and a side chips

  • The soup was thick but still there was pieces of salmon and onions to give texture

  • The scallops was tender and the dressing for the whole dish gave lots of flavors

  • It was actually a little too sweet for me and instead of ordering it with both ice cream and cream

  • They seafood is really fresh and that garlic butter

  • Service was attentive and our waitress was really nice

  • When your dining companion has just returned from a trip to Barra with tales of uber fresh seafood
