Leo's Beanery (New Town)

• I had previously popped in for coffee but this was the first eating visit
• The service is effusively welcoming and attentive
• This was a minor quibble with what was an impressive dish
• The atmosphere was delightfully chilled for such a busy place
• Leo's Beanery is a very well established café
• Wooden tables and chairs are surrounded by calming light blue walls with random lights
• It has a country cottage feel and in a city centre that countryside feeling is often craved
• The counter has a display fridge that shows off all the cakes that are made through the back by a very talented baker
• The ambience is quite perfect much like the coffee'
• The coffee is 'It's amazingly fresh and quite fruity
• As the brunch/lunch time service is a well oiled machine despite it being full
• Fresh bread was also a nice touch
• Leo's Beanery (New Town) is filled with cosy wooden booths to sit in and a gorgeous array of salads
• Lemon and dill is a favourite) it was time to try out the brunch menu
• This eatery is just below street level but its open and light so you don't feel like you are heading 'underground' as such
• The place is filled with the smells of wonderful aromas of coffee and food cooking
• Their breakfast menu is full of fairly healthy dishes granola
• For the more indulgent breakie there are lots of eggs
• I opted for the Leo's Breakfast Plate which is two softly poached free range eggs
• Wilted spinach with sourdough toast £
• Eggs were lovely and soft with runny yolks
• The sourdough bread was a thick slice that had been slightly toasted so it was still soft in the middle and warm
