• The original intention was to head for the Lioness Of Leith on Duke Street
• I was pleased with the sound of the mushroom soup
• David opened with a little bucket of chicken wings
• He followed with a haggis and beef burger
• My soup was lovely and creamy with a good rustic texture
• The pie filling contained generous chunks of tender meat and was pretty good
• The accompanying mash with crushed peas was under seasoned and had an odd texture
• Finding a good pub pie is becoming much more of a challenge than it ever was
• Deliciously crisp and served with a spicy dipping sauce

• The portions are great with so many to choose from and the food is really fresh and yum

• Sitting beside the fire with a late night tipple whilst it blows a gale outside is devine
• The menu is what you'd expect from Belhaven Pubs with lots of offers Steak Wednesdays
• The burger was as you'd expect
