Bar Soba (New Town)

• They make one of the best mojitos I've had and during the week it's for a bargain price of £
• Their staff is always friendly and helpful
• Cashew nut chilli noodles last time and was impressed by the rich taste
• The Drumstick cocktail is so tasty and you get a lolly to save for the journey home
• After deciding what we wanted to eat we were told there was no beef or pork
• Also that someone was just running to Sainsburys as they'd just run out of chicken
• Waited about 30 minutes before our starters were cleared and our main course arrived
• All of the waitresses were standing about not looking to do very much
• One specifically was flirting away with someone at the bar and walked past us a good few times before delivering our drinks
• When they arrived they were all wrong but we chose not to send them back as would have waited another 10minutes
• We eventually spoke to the manager about lack of service and that we were generally disappointed with what's usually a great wee place to go
• Won't go back as 4 out of the 5 people in our group were very unwell after the food
• Great decor with a graphic feel
• I could happy just share all the starters with friends as a meal
• Louise had booked a table for a couple of us for the night as it was her Birthday
• I arrived and went to the table which was marked 'reserved'
• We all then sat down to enjoy our drinks and were told that we had to move to the front of the bar as another party had came in and there was loads of them
• Then we had to wait for the people that were already there to move
• The music inside Bar Soba is ridiculously loud
• It was a lot of hassle to actually get up and get a drink as the waiting time was around 20 minutes which didn't stop the people that worked there to throw around the cocktail maker and drop it
• The interior of the bar was lovely I really loved the lighting and the art around the bar
• I really enjoyed spending the night with my Louise as it was her Birthday but I don't think I would go to Bar Soba again once is enough
• Tasty food at a great Restaraunt where there is a very good ambience along with good music
• When I had been previously we sat at one of the small tables but this time we were at one of the big tables in front of the bar
• I definitely preferred the smaller tables for eating as the bigger tables are not as comfortable
• I hate everything and the beef was cooked perfectly for me
• It was really busy when we were in last night but that helped add to the atmosphere
• Even though it was busy we didn't have to wait ages for our food
• Had the Bangkok burger one Sunday and was given a pot of burger grease (
• ) alongside and when we asked what it was and why it was there we were told "
• We got the sharing platers which were really yummy
• I've eaten here several times and it is particularly handy when you are looking for somewhere to go out with a larger group
• They also take the Tastecard now which means meals that were already reasonably priced (and very generous in portion size) are even more affordable
• Bar Soba is a cool bar on Hanover street with an even cooler cocktail list
• They do great drinks and cocktails and now with the launch of their latest menu
