L'Enclume (Grange-Over-Sands)

• As well as being the 100th post it was also the venue for Mrs Noms birthday back in December
• The booking was made months in advance
• We were one of the first tables to arrive at 6.30pm and were seated at a table with a view of the pass
• Enclume has been voted best restaurant in the UK by the Good Food Guide for the last few years now
• Down to earth with friendly villagers to match
• The Lake District is stunning and the entire L&rsquo
• Enclume experience is certainly one to remember (and definitely one you will want to repeat
• Each and every dish was beautifully presented and totally tasty
• With my absolute favourite part being the parade of snacks we were presented with at the beginning to get us started
• My only apprehension is that I would hate to have an experience even so much as slightly less enjoyable than my first
• So we decided that if we were going to be in the Lake District
• We should probably eat at the best restaurant there
• A five hour or so drive from my home in Surrey to Cartmel is no mean feat
• By no means was the meal at Fera bad
• It felt rather industrialised which is unsurprising giving the number of covers
• The cooking was polite and correct
