Yumchaa (Fitzrovia)

• Or just some alone time with a book or your laptop
• I saw people just sinking into their little zone with a cuppa coffee and some salad or a quick bite
• The customers are always happy to be there
• The Red Velvet Cake here is so tempting please don't resist such temptations and just give in
• I was super happy with the tea I bought and the cake I had
• I could tell it was trouble as I walked in
• One of those tendy coffee chops with decor which is little more than a mishmash
• The vibe within was really pleasant
• The barista was beyond lovely
• What impressed me most about the place was its huge variety
• Another lovely feature were the filters which empty themselves into your cup when you place them on top
• My recommendations are the chilli hot chocolate and the black (as opposed to red) chai latte
• Both of which are supremely tasty
• The selection is bordering on ridiculous with the combinations laid out in small cups at the front for you to be able to have a whiff before committing
• Lucky for us it was in a quite little corner where we could pour our hearts out to each other
• The quirky christmas tree kept the corner with the shelves a bit festive and the white washed walls seemed to have a sublimia soothing effect
• The general atmosphere of the place is the sort where you can settle into a huge armchair
• Its the kind of place you would take a good book to and settle in with a warm pot of tea
• White washed walls and their amazing range of teas on offer will stay with you long after you walk out of the place and of course their catchy crazy name Yum Chaa is something you won&rsquo
• Their range of tea leaves and flavours is second to none
• It has an overall white theme which emits a calming effect over the site you can see why it's a popular choice for many students to go to with their laptops and workloads
• Also offers some food and pastries but these are more limited and less interesting in flavour
• I entered the place with some friends
• Some of their other fruity teas are very carefully selected and made
• Larger inside than outside and filled with students on the afternoon I popped in with friends (one of whom IS a student of a college nearby)
• It is all about the loose tea with signs saying &ldquo
• The variety of teas are displayed in little labelled milk jugs
• All the teas are listed with the ingredients
• The caffeine level and also whether it is available hot or iced
• Ginger and ginseng root with a base of pai mu tan white tea
• D ever tasted but it was wonderful and mild
• I like the eclectic charm the only negatives were that the place was big with mostly tables and chairs rather than sofas to collapse into for a couple of cups
• The server was also not very helpful on a day when it wasn't busy at all I was the only person getting a tea for 15 20 mins
• Still the tea was good (self selected unfortunately)
• Charming place with decent music and a mostly student crowd
• Leaf teas (no tea bags here) are available from an excellent assortment and there's plenty of mixed to select from
