The Waterfront (Battersea)

• It just looked like an epic food mountain and we decided to share it along with a garlic flat bread
• No waiters came so I went to the bar to order but was told there is table service
• The waitress said it was because we hadnt finished our bread and then went to check and said the order had been forgotten but they will bring it out soon
• It looked amazing but it was bland and boring
• The only flavoursome component was the red cabbage which had been poached in cinnamon
• After a stroll at Richmond Park this was not our first choice eatery its riverside location was particularly attractive
• We ordered a garlic and mozzarella flatbread and decided to share a medium well done sirloin beef roast with all the trimmings
• The beef appeared within minutes this is not a particularly good sign
• The garlic and mozzarella flatbread was fine bit on the brittle dude
• The presentation of the Roast was spot on but the dish was let down on several fronts
• As the Yorkshire was humungous and had probably been sitting around
• The texture was flat and lacked crunch
• The red cabbage had a sweet mulled spice flavour which was a nice twist
• All in all the dish was pretty lack lustre
• I could tell that the waitress was trying to improve our experience but it was out of her hands thanks for putting on a brave face
